Watched the first episode. Other than being convinced the English guy was Logan Marshall-Green for almost the entire show, that was FANTASTIC

Reading through that list of movies it dawned on me that I think I generally like pretty much everything Costner does. Even Waterworld and The Postman are guilty pleasures haha. He’s like a lesser Tom Cruise haha.

Not mentioned yet but the implementation of the Cabbage Guy was 🤌🏻

We binged 2-8 all day yesterday. I loved it! Look, it’s not the cartoon. Nothing will ever be the cartoon. It’s arguably one of the ten best tv shows of all time in my opinion. And that doesn’t even speak to the power of nostalgia. So if you’re expecting/demanding that then don’t even watch it. Personally I love that they picked a tone and stuck with it. They didn’t try and cram everything in. Adapting the more serious and adult tone from season 3 right from the get go gave this thing a weight. You’re able to understand what’s at stake much quicker while also never feeling very rushed. I also think this makes the show a little more appealing to a broader audience. I personally didn’t notice any inconsistencies in tone. Episode 5 is actually my favorite of the whole season haha. But that doesn’t mean they’re not there. They just didnt stand out to me. There are a ton of people I’ve been trying to push to watch the original cartoon that have resisted. All of them so far seem much more open to trying this. My hope is that they enjoy the adaption enough to want to go back and watch the cartoon(my wife in particular literally asked if we could watch the cartoon now as soon as we finished the adaption haha). So the more people this brings this amazing story and world to the better imo

Halfway through. I wasn’t sure after episode one, felt very uneven and forced. But honestly it’s hit a groove and I’m loving it. Im enjoying the different take of leaning much more heavily on the the emotion and gravity of the war and its effect on everyone.

If it survives I feel like this will be pretty good in a year.

In that I think his movies are trash and have zero desire to even give them a chance based on principle at this point.

Lol yes the other 3 of us were. Plus it was on Medium which a couple of us could solo no problem. For that Comm Relay, there is a very slight “beep” noise when you get the dish in place. Tough to hear but once you know what to listen for it’s easy.

Fine by me. I have to have Peacock for the WWE and I’ve always resisted Paramount because I didn’t want to add another service. Hopefully they completely redo the interface. It blows my mind how none of these companies can hire a halfway competent designer to make these UI even marginally user friendly. Except Disney and Netflix which are fine I guess.

Yeah the images from that gif…that’s the standard not the exception haha. Something like that happens nearly every match. It’s obviously way better with friends on a mic. Like we’re talking all time great multiplayer experience with friends on a mic. But I’ve been having fun solo as well. It is tough at the beginning but as you level up and unlock more Orbital Strikes, Fighter Runs, Special weapons etc… it becomes much more manageable. I haven’t tried it yet but there are certainly the tools to take a more stealthy “get in and get out” type approach. The community is pretty great so far as well. Now that the servers are stabilizing I’m getting randoms join my game more often than not and every experience has been good so far. No idiots team killing just for the sake of it. I could not recommend this game more.

Yeah that shit was fun as hell. Started around 10 and had to force myself to go to bed at like 230am haha

The haptics on the PS5 controller make it even better. All the guns feel great to use. I played a few missions solo and they’re fun but def tough alone. Then played a couple with @JPDunks4 and had a blast. The last mission we ran out of time so the main ship left and we had to wait the 2 minutes for our pick up with no special abilities. Spent two minutes with him pouring his flamethrower and me my machine gun into the small pass leading to the extraction point. Drop shop landed on him and killed him but I made it out 😂😂 Music makes it even more epic feeling. Def a lot of fun and can’t wait to get a full squad and see what the upper difficulties are like

Having some matchmaking issues on PS5. Only been able to play with other people once

Played the tutorial and one mission by myself. I LOVE this. The gameplay itself is solid and fun but the package it’s wrapped in so hilariously fun.

Who said anything about GotY? It was largely absent from every category on most people’s lists.

The game is pretty outstanding. It’s a shame it got completely ignored during awards(for whatever the fuck they’re worth anyway)

Love on the Spectrum S1/2 - 10/10 I don’t have a lot to say, I just fucking love this show. It feels like it’s to Reality shows what Schitts Creek and Ted Lasso are to “regular” shows. It dawned on me I have no idea how to classify those two shows. TV just feels like TV now. Things don’t fit into the old network boxes as well anymore. Anyway, David and Abby are my favorite people on the fucking planet right now.

Jesus you guys are lame. That shit was hilarious. Who gives a shit how good a job it did promoting its brands. Budweiser sold a billion dollars worthy of beer with talking frogs. Also I 1000% already have my tickets for the Creed reunion tour this summer 😂😂

Only game that I got excited for was whatever V Rising is. And Dragons Dogma 2 but that doesn’t count.
