Youāre right, Bardem was an absolute stand out star. Everything Chalamet does from the time Paul goes south through the end of the movie is absolutely incredible. Rebecca Fergusonās descent also canāt be ignored. Honestly thereās not a single performance that falls below outstanding. Everything from the arrival from the South onward I basically sat there thinking āthis is far and away the most epic shit Iāve ever seen in my lifeā. Anyone mad they didnāt get badass Luke in Last Jedi is gonna love this shit š Seriously I could go on forever. The cinematography on Geidi Prime, the duel, THAT ARRIVAL during the battle š³. First movie Iāve seen in a long time with applause from the audience, first one I immediately wanted to buy another ticket too and see it again. Give me extended editions released as single cut Iām more than happy sitting for 7/8 hours watching this story unfold.

Just got back the theater. 1 million out of 10. Fucking flawless. No notes. Im exhausted so im not gonna get into a full spoiler filled review on the finer details of the story and their choices on how the adapted it. Iāll just say it fucking works, all of it. This feels a little like LotR in that there are some pretty major things left out but you donāt miss them and the feeling and themes are all there. Iām excited to talk about it once people start seeing it. For the love of god see this in the best theater possible with the best SOUND system possible. Those subwoofers in the seats were working overtime. Amazing

We binged 2-8 all day yesterday. I loved it! Look, itās not the cartoon. Nothing will ever be the cartoon. Itās arguably one of the ten best tv shows of all time in my opinion. And that doesnāt even speak to the power of nostalgia. So if youāre expecting/demanding that then donāt even watch it. Personally I love that they picked a tone and stuck with it. They didnāt try and cram everything in. Adapting the more serious and adult tone from season 3 right from the get go gave this thing a weight. Youāre able to understand whatās at stake much quicker while also never feeling very rushed. I also think this makes the show a little more appealing to a broader audience. I personally didnāt notice any inconsistencies in tone. Episode 5 is actually my favorite of the whole season haha. But that doesnāt mean theyāre not there. They just didnt stand out to me. There are a ton of people Iāve been trying to push to watch the original cartoon that have resisted. All of them so far seem much more open to trying this. My hope is that they enjoy the adaption enough to want to go back and watch the cartoon(my wife in particular literally asked if we could watch the cartoon now as soon as we finished the adaption haha). So the more people this brings this amazing story and world to the better imo -

Halfway through. I wasnāt sure after episode one, felt very uneven and forced. But honestly itās hit a groove and Iām loving it. Im enjoying the different take of leaning much more heavily on the the emotion and gravity of the war and its effect on everyone. -

In that I think his movies are trash and have zero desire to even give them a chance based on principle at this point. -

Lol yes the other 3 of us were. Plus it was on Medium which a couple of us could solo no problem. For that Comm Relay, there is a very slight ābeepā noise when you get the dish in place. Tough to hear but once you know what to listen for itās easy. -
Fine by me. I have to have Peacock for the WWE and Iāve always resisted Paramount because I didnāt want to add another service. Hopefully they completely redo the interface. It blows my mind how none of these companies can hire a halfway competent designer to make these UI even marginally user friendly. Except Disney and Netflix which are fine I guess.

If youāre playing on PS5, instead of booting the game up normally. Go to āResume Activityā below it and go into the game that way. Takes a minute but I got on twice like that tonight. -

Yeah the images from that gifā¦thatās the standard not the exception haha. Something like that happens nearly every match. Itās obviously way better with friends on a mic. Like weāre talking all time great multiplayer experience with friends on a mic. But Iāve been having fun solo as well. It is tough at the beginning but as you level up and unlock more Orbital Strikes, Fighter Runs, Special weapons etcā¦ it becomes much more manageable. I havenāt tried it yet but there are certainly the tools to take a more stealthy āget in and get outā type approach. The community is pretty great so far as well. Now that the servers are stabilizing Iām getting randoms join my game more often than not and every experience has been good so far. No idiots team killing just for the sake of it. I could not recommend this game more. -

The haptics on the PS5 controller make it even better. All the guns feel great to use. I played a few missions solo and theyāre fun but def tough alone. Then played a couple with @JPDunks4 and had a blast. The last mission we ran out of time so the main ship left and we had to wait the 2 minutes for our pick up with no special abilities. Spent two minutes with him pouring his flamethrower and me my machine gun into the small pass leading to the extraction point. Drop shop landed on him and killed him but I made it out šš Music makes it even more epic feeling. Def a lot of fun and canāt wait to get a full squad and see what the upper difficulties are like -

Played the tutorial and one mission by myself. I LOVE this. The gameplay itself is solid and fun but the package itās wrapped in so hilariously fun.
