  1. I'm back after a long hiatus. My old D1P account seems to have been deleted but my handle used to be Abstract_Snipes back in the IGN PCGB days, I'm still friends on Steam with a lot of ya.
  2. Seems like they're going the Netflix route; dump tons of cash into projects whilst losing money hand-over-fist in the hopes of compiling a library that will continue to generate revenue for decades to come. High risk high reward.
  3. @stepee @Spork3245 Might be another glitch but it's adding to cart. 4. I'm pretty confident in the next 3 weeks we'll all get one, if I don't I'll probably just settle for a 3070.
  5. @Spork3245 go go https://www.bestbuy.com/site/msi-geforce-rtx-3080-ventus-3x-10g-oc-bv-gddr6x-pci-express-4-0-graphic-card-black-silver/6430175.p?skuId=6430175 Edit: damn might be OoS again already, adds to cart but can't checkout I'd keep trying for a bit though might get through.
  6. Do you have a link to the twitterbot? Perhaps I'm blind but I'm just not seeing it. Thanks
  7. So uh any chance you could let me in on these restock secrets? I waited in line at micro center on release day, (3am-10am) was literally the first person who didn't get one, everyone in front of me got one. I setup in stock alerts but so far nada.
  8. Sure but that doesn't change any of what I mentioned. They could still theoretically do that now if Sony gave the thumbs up. I'm guessing sony didnt want to back the project so they offered it to MS after getting turned down
  9. It's different because they were both 2nd party studios for Sony. Sony was already bankrolling all of their projects before they became an official entity. They also didnt publish their own games so yeah its a pretty massive difference.
  10. Less publishers is bad for consumers, monopolies are always bad as inflated cost always trickles down to the consumer.
  11. I vastly prefer digital especially for the Switch and PC but for Playstation I buy mostly physical for 2 reasons: hard drive space - it takes like 10 minutes to install from a disc and about 2 hours to download a game. Prices: physical is almost always cheaper for PS games, especially 2-6 months after release. The PS store has some very good deals but generally games don't go on sale until they're several years old. I will never be in favor of all digital on consoles because distribution monopolies are very bad for consumers.
  12. I mean it's really not that difficult of a concept to understand; for some people price and convenience are the #1 factors and for others it's performance above all else. Some folks just want to be willfully obtuse.
  13. Games will most likely have a capped framerate. 4k-30fps, 1080p-120fps. And yes your old TV should do 120fps @ 120hz , but you might have latency or ghosting issues depending on what type of TV and how old it is.
  14. The Westmont, IL store put one of those up immediately like literally while I was waiting in line to buy one. "3080 out of stock for the the foreseeable future due to constrained supply"
  15. Popular is a relative term, popular among enthusiasts sure but popular in general? Nah. Spending double for 15% performance increase was never mainstream.
  16. Let's be real, it was always dead. I'd have to imagine less than .1% of gamers ever utilized it, in fact judging be Steam hardware surveys it's probably exponentially less than that.
  17. As a thank you to all of our long-time fans we're offering you the opportunity to purchase Super Bros. 3 again for the 10th time at the low low price of $15.99* *will absolutely in no way shape or form ever be transferable to future systems
  18. I have no allegiance to any company and dgaf who "wins" but from my purely anecdotal evidence everyone I know who has bought an xbox one, and/or plans to buy a series s/x they're super casual players who only buy a couple of sports games and Call of Duty. I don't see how that's a sustainable business model if they're not drawing anyone in with new exclusives, but the lower price of the series S and the possibility of XBL gold going free would be a huge step in the right direction.
  19. 2020 is undefeated. The target.com email also says "on or shortly after release date" and the estimated delivery date is 11/13-11/19
