FFS can BR games just die already? I really hate the trend that every single studio is trying to put out a BR game. I get it, Fortnite, Apex, COD were/are huge and even niche titles like Fall Guys saw brief success the format is garbage, you have 1 winner and 98 losers. If they're going to continue to push BR's they need to have some type of matchmaking system because you either play a lobby full of people trying to game on their ipod nano or you get a bunch of sweaty tryhards desperately clinging to the hopes of getting you to tune into their twitch channel.

I'm guessing they sent cease & desist letters that threatened litigation in hopes of deterring smaller companies but they have no intention of actually pursuing it. It's a scare tactic, has to be, as you said there's no chance it holds up

I'm kind of in the same boat but I traded in my ps4 last month (Amazon was giving $200 for a slim, which only $50 less than I paid for it) so I figure I'll be able to play all the enhanced versions of my backlog games in addition to new exclusives and it only cost me $300 I'm excited for demons souls and Spider-man but after those 2 titles it's probably going to be a very long time before I play it again.

Tbh it does it does do some really amazing things check out this video: There's some really cool depth there, however none of that matters to me if it runs like garbage.

I'll wait a few weeks to see if they come up with a patch and if not I'm going to uninstall this turd

Here are my bench results with the new drivers and new patch: 1440p - 53fps average, 34 fps low, 83 max fps mostly ultra settings RT High DLSS ultra performance 1080p - 54fps average, 37 fps low, 85 max fps same settings as above i5 9600k @3.8ghz, RTX 3080 @2100Mhz, 32gb DDR4, running from an NVME m.2 SSD Needless to say something is seriously ****ed in this games coding.

Never played Demons Souls but most likely yes. There are usually only a handful of bosses that you have to fight in Souls games, most are optional.

Bravely default is easily the best jrpg I've played in 10+ years but the ending left such a sour taste in my mouth i never could bring myself to play bravely 2nd. I have really high hopes for this one though, the battle/job system was amazing

JFC Stop announcing dates you god damned dunces. TLoU 2 took some heat for delays but they did it right when they announced their "indefinite" delay due to covid and wouldnt commit to a new date until they were certain theyd hit it. This a perfect example of exactly how NOT to do PR.

Game just finished installing, and I ran the benchmark tool, I noticed similarly poor preformance to you. One thing to note: while running the benchmark my CPU load was reading about 75-90% while my gpu was basically idling at 10% Will do more testing later but it seems to definitely be just a very poorly coded game at first glance, CPU should not be handling the bulk of the load while gpu idles.

I think it's a little of both. At 4K I don't think you can expect > 60fps with RT on in a lot of titles. Lower res with DLSS upscaling is the reason why nvidia will outclass the new AMD offereings. I still think 1440p will be the sweetspot for gaming for the foreseeable future. I think we'll see better performance than WDL though, I certainly wasn't expecting UBIsoft to push the envelope in terms of technical achievements.

They will not be giving away full priced high sales games away for a very long time, the first 2 years will be nothing but indie games and full-priced flops. I'm not advising you to spend your money on Miles Morales but if you're waiting for it to be free you're going to be waiting until at least 2023.
