  1. This one was fun too! I'm just not sure I understand the name; I didn't use a POW Block at all.. I like your levels! They're challenging without being unfair. Even when you die horribly over and over you can *see* what you're supposed to do and you can feel yourself making progress. We'll done.
  2. There's plenty of that! In fact you can filter the courses down to just SMB1 if you want!
  3. Yeah I tried to make it a 2 stage process. The first few rooms are kind of a "here's how you do it/learn how it bounces in various situations" then the second half of the level is "use what you learned".
  4. Done! I'm your first clear. Fun level! Took a lot of tries. And apparently I'm a slow learner because..
  5. Nothing super challenging. This is me just having fun. Koopa Platforming Fun (QWK-3SL-1PF): This was my first level. Pretty basic and simple. This was just me screwing around and learning how the editor works. Superballin' (86B-9P6-7GF): I've learned the editor so this is where it's time to start getting creative. I'd love your feedback.
  6. Yeah, troll levels can be fun if they're well designed and clever, but too many people just either throw craploads of off-screen unavoidable crap at you, put hidden.kaizo blocks everywhere, or make the level unnecessarily long and tedious (not adding challenge; merely boring us into submission). Don't be That Guy.
  7. I've made a couple levels. I'll post them when I get home tonight. One is just a basic platforming level I made to test the tools since I never played SMM1. The second is more fun.
  8. I have a 3 year old niece. She's too young for the theater for this IMO, but I guarantee in a couple years this is going to be on repeat constantly at my house and I'm going to have Hakuna Matata ear-wormed into my head for the rest of my days. This movie is going to make ridiculous amounts of money.
  9. I was happy to see an actual No More Heroes 3.
  10. This is why I almost exclusively play limited formats. Booster draft, sealed deck, etc. It still scratches that deck-building itch, adds a layer of strategy with the drafting, and everyone is on a level playing field money-wise. Sweet! We should do a gaming space thread...
  11. Mario Maker 2 MHW: Iceborne expansion Fire Emblem: Three Houses Death Stranding Bloodstained Borderlands 3
  12. I'm interested if it works well. I have a nice PC gaming rig setup at home. But if I can also play competent versions of my PC games with little to no input lag on my Chromebook or something when I'm away from home? I'll do that. I'd probably never do anything competitive on such a service, but I have plenty of adventure and RPG games I'm working through in my PC library that I'd be happy to play lower fidelity versions of on the road.
  13. I hope it's successful. Big cons in more areas of the country are a good thing. Not everyone can get to Indianapolis or Philly, for GenCon or PAXU. Hopefully this one gets good attendance and they keep it going for years.
  14. Looking at the list reminds me that I still haven't bought FFIX on Switch. Will fix that today.
  15. Keyforge is an interesting one. I bought a couple decks to learn it with my son. It was fun, but then I realized I'm probably not the target market because I like deck building too much. I'm not sure why anyone would buy more than one deck of this. So...fun game. But I just plan on tossing my one deck in my con bag and keeping it handy in case I run into someone that happens to want to play. There's no incentive for me to keep buying, which feels odd for a collectible game.
  16. @Remarkableriots How did it play? I haven't played any new games in awhile. I've been on a D&D kick (we should start a D&D thread...). I have two regular bi-weekly games, one I'm a player and one I'm DM. Last non pen and paper RPG I played was a couple weeks ago when me and a pal played a few rounds of High Heavens. It's a 2 player asymmetric strategy game where each players takes the role of a pantheon of gods, either Greek or Norse and compete to either kill all of the other teams' gods or destroy their home base (Asgard or Mt. Olympus). Pretty fun! The minis are low quality, but good looking. The game comes with these stacking rings to make damage tracking easy. Overall a nice product. My only complaint is that I wish the plastic for the minis was higher quality.
  17. Hey guys, I think I've nailed it. People. The problem is people.
  18. Well, there's no power while you're doing it I assume (pop the battery). And just air-can the shit out of that bad boy when you're done. :P But yeah if you're not comfortable doing it then don't.
