  1. I bought it on Xbox and I'm enjoying it, but there's one huge over-sight for me, and that's the inability to change control schemes. I realize the buttons for Castlevania are mapped similar to the old NES controller, with the B button being 'attack' and the A button being 'jump' but the problem is, 90% of all the platforming games that have come out since the SNES mapped the A or X (playstation) button for jumping. I can't un-train my brain to press the other button for jump. I finally had to resort to using my Xbox Elite Controller and mapping the buttons through the controller software. It was fine in the easier levels but once I had to rely on pure reflexes, I just couldn't do it. I needed my X 'attack' and A 'jump' config. If I didn't have my elite I'd be rage quitting right now. (For the record, Super Castlevania IV kept the original control scheme to the SNES and since the button placement is the same, it controls like a dream.)
  2. Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella have confirmed a memorandum of understanding that will allow the two companies to explore joint development on cloud and AI technologies. Specifically, in finding ways to incorporate Microsoft's Azure cloud services in Sony products. Even if they lose, MS wins... it's what they do.
  3. Graphical differences aside, I can't help but wonder what differences this game could have from Sea of Thieves. By the time this game comes out, Sea of Thieves will have had, like, two years of patches and additions. Perhaps Ubisoft is hoping that SoT will have run its course by then.
  4. This is a great reminder that i need to play all the other things i bought from their last sale.
  5. Psh. Some of us were playing FF7 while getting drunk and laid. To be fair though, she was an Asian art student so FF7 was kinda my.. um... "in" i guess you could say. Yes, I used FF7 for evil. I regret nothing.
  6. I won this game on xbox like, a year and a half ago. The pre-order is still sitting there. I thought it got canceled or something.
  7. Okay, so the guy has a cleft lip, and so do the mutants in Rage 2? I mean, is it far-fetched to believe (in video game terms) that a cleft lip would be a common mutation to people exposed to radiation that also made them crazy? What if it made their hair fall out as well? Are all bald guys going to be offended too? Will there be a call to arms from cancer patients? I understand why this guy is upset, but he's also projecting himself onto all those heads as if the devs meant to tell him personally that he should be mounted on a wall because he has a cleft. I havent played the game yet but i'm willing to bet there are a lot of other mutations the guy is ignoring as he fixates on that one feature. According to his logic, The Fugitive paints all amputees as conspiring murderers.
  8. 10 people will make absolutely amazing content while the other million use it to make penises.
  9. I'm still trying to get through the base game. Granted, it's like a decade old, but the loot drops are fuckin awful. Edit: WTF no gameplay in that trailer? Seriously?
  10. It looks like it would be great for a younger audience that might not be old enough for loot grinds and builds that other ARPG's focus on.
  11. I don't like that they're voiced now, because now I can't name the characters whatever I want.
  12. "This game we're making is going to be a massive open world with on-going updates to keep you playing throughout the year! Doesn't that sound amazing? Doesn't it? DOESN'T IT?" "Um, sure." "DAMN YOUR DEMANDS WE CAN'T KEEP UP WITH ALL THIS PRESSURE!"
  13. This is actually kind of a bummer. I would've rather seen the opposite happen, with EA Access being no more and those titles moving over to Game Pass / PSNow.
  14. I hope "sheriffs" are bounty hunters, because I honestly greatly preferred the bounty system in Odyssey over the notoriety systems in previous AC games. Sure, but AC Ragnarok better give me a hot vicious valkyrie warrior to play dress up with. I'd be okay with some wolf pelt bikinis. I hope they give us the option again, like in Odyssey, to have objectives and stuff show up on the map. I personally would fall asleep running from point A to point B in BotW and if these maps are really going to get bigger and bigger, I'd rather know if there's something worth getting to at the top of a mountain before I spent 20 minutes climbing up it.
  15. At least we don't have to worry about the game bogging down when there's a lot of loot on the screen. Dell over on Angry Joe show found out the hotkey the devs were using to spawn loot and tried to break the game by spawning as many guns as he could before he ran out of time. He got to a pretty impressive number on the screen and the game was still running fairly smooth. Granted, there was nothing else going on in the game at the time, but at least the code seems solid.
  16. I played it on Game Pass a few months ago. It's pretty good, but it's really a one-and-done kinda game.
  17. "How do I put this? It's not my sort of thing—but it's made so much money and generated a strong response from a certain type of player.." "The tone of the Kickstarter page says a lot about who the game is aimed at, and I won't pretend I didn't raise an eyebrow a few times while reading it." By "a certain type of player" and "who the game is aimed at" I'm assuming the author means people without a stick in their ass that allow themselves to enjoy things without judgement of themselves or others.
  18. Was there? Hell, if i woulda known, i wouldve checked it out a long time ago.
  19. Hmm.. not hating on Bloodborne or anything, but it seems really out of place on that list.
