  1. Some of my favorite moments in DE are when I failed. I don't think I've ever said that about another video game. For example, on my first run through, I had a high chance of success on the karaoke singing. I was so ready. Nope, failed. But the failure was amazing as were the character reactions. Another almost complete failure was one of the very few times there's any chance for combat at all. I failed so many fucking rolls, but it made everything so much more impactful with the way they handled it. You don't save scum DE or you're missing out. I started my final cut playthrough today. Trying a different character build this time.
  2. Yeah, mine happened in an auto update when I turned on my TV. My system is on 5.00.30. I feel like this is the Australia page, but I'm having troubling finding the software page for the US. You can at least see the update here and directly install if you wish, and you can see it came out ~April 7th (and over the air probably took about a week longer, which lines up with when I got mine.) /us/images/tvs/md06065217/OLED65C9PUA_350_v1.jpg LG OLED55C9PUA.AUS: Support, Manuals, Warranty & More | LG USA Support WWW.LG.COM Get product support, user manuals and software drivers for the LG OLED55C9PUA.AUS. 3. Yeah that sucks. You can always do what I did though and secure one by buying an entire PC that happens to come with one!
  4. Yeah that's annoying. I hope it's released soon! Depends on the game, but yeah, for sure. I can play plenty of games now at 4K 120 even without DLSS. E.g., Doom Eternal. Most modern games I can usually do 4K w/ HDR and Ultra and somewhere between 60fps and 120fps, which with Gsync is really nice. If you mean consoles, then yeah I suspect you'll find some games on next gen consoles that will use your TVs full 120hz, although it's unclear at this stage how many console games will target it.
  5. While LG released an update for the C9 last year that fixed 120hz 4K Gsync for 30xx users, I still had some minor nuisances remaining. Specifically I had the following issues in desktop mode (strangely not in games): When I first booted up my PC, I would get a series of flickering artifacts that lasted for about 10 seconds While in desktop mode, I would see another flickering artifact about once ever hour or so If the PC was on but the TV originally booted to another source (like say my PS4) and then I later switched it to PC, it wouldn't find the signal unless I reset the TV A new OVA update came out a few days ago and I noticed that I wasn't really observing these problems anymore. I looked around on the internet and found others also reported that while they once had these issues they were now fixed. While these issues were never a deal breaker because I mainly cared about my PC for games where it didn't seem to be a problem, it was still annoying. So if you are a 30xx user with an LG TV an experienced these issues, you should get the update!
  6. Didn't even know this existed. Looks great though. I'll watch it on streaming.
  7. I vastly prefer Infinite to the first. The combat in the first wasn't as satisfying and the I felt like the world they were trying to make was undermined by virtually never interacting with someone directly that wasn't a zombie deadset on killing you. You basically just get people yelling at you over the radio or occasionally you see someone through a really thick layer of glass. Infinite benefited so much just by having Elizabeth be with you most of the time and giving you real interactions even beyond that.
  8. You end up swapping between a bunch of skills rapidly and a chunk of the combat plays more like a twin-stick shooter than point and click, which is why D3 was able to focus on that aspect and make it translate to controller pretty well.
  9. I've never tired to measure if I'm more likely to be attracted to people in a particular race, but there are people I find very attractive in every race.
  10. I'd like to find this funny, but the fact that this person is still loyal to Trump is maddening. These people are not just hurting themselves, they've hurt the entire country and are dead set on dragging everyone down with them. If they can't even puzzle out that Trump is bad after he sends them to hell, then there is no hope for these people and they will continue to drag us down with them. It's very discouraging. Biden won, but these people are still here and are still a problem.
  11. Assuming we just mean classic 2D style: 1. Hollow Knight, by a landslide. 2. Shadow Complex This one doesn't get mentioned a lot but I thought it was pure fun, especially back when it came out. 3. Dead Cells 4. Ori and the Will of the Wisps 5. Bloodstained
  12. While yes you missed the joke at first getting the idea and writing the code yourself is the preferable way people should use Stack Overflow once they get past being a rank novice, IMO. And even rank novices should sparingly out-right copy and paste. I'm often troubled by how many "professional" coders attest to frequently just straight ripping code.
  13. Could be a decent movie, but I feel like part of the appeal of this game is that they brought the feeling of a samurai movie into a game experience. But that definitionally is kind of an old hat for a movie
  14. Looking more: Keep NVCP V-sync on with gysnc if you want to cap at your monitors refresh rate and avoid tearing. Turn off vsync in the NVCP if you want to uncap when the game hits framerate above the monitor refresh rate. In this mode, you can get tearing at very high framerates, but not when you're under the monitor refresh rate. Always turn vsync off in the game though.
