Trans people warned that these laws were gonna be weaponized against cis women, particularly women of color. It's too easy for anyone to make an accusation and there isn't any protections against false claims. Same thing with bathroom bills, really. There has been an increase reporting from cis people being stopped from using the correct bathroom because someone thought they may be trans.

I should clarify that I mean perceived credibility. CNN is corporate owned and I already had many issues but someone like Anderson Cooper was someone that was trusted by many. In divided times most people were okay with Cooper and now he won’t be viewed the same ever again.

Movies 'Pearl' - Prequel to Ti West's "X" - Arriving Sept. 16th
Kamusha replied to SoberChef's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
I liked X pretty fine but Pearl kinda blew me away. Mia Goth is such a captivating presence. -
CNN has lost so much of its audience in recent months and I don’t see many returning. Who would trust their anchors again after they’ve shown they’re more beholden to a paycheck than journalistic integrity?

I'm 30+ hours into it and haven't done a single dungeon. As soon as I got the paraglider I've been exploring the world and visiting all of the Skyview towers. Even though this is the same overworld as BoTW the new ways to travel makes it all feel fresh. I know there was some fear before release that this would feel like an expansion pack but it's a totally new game that perfects what BoTW started. I absolutely loved the vertical exploration of BoTW and having the ability to shoot up into the sky has added a whole new dimension to exploration. I've only played around in the Underneath a little but everything I saw so far really impressed me. It feels a little more surreal fantasy than what I normally expect from Zelda and I'm here for it.

Television Ted Lasso Season 3, to air March 15
Kamusha replied to Spawn_of_Apathy's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
Seasons 2 and 3 aren't perfect but some of the character moments are more interesting than anything in the first season. They are shaggier seasons but I still love being with these characters. Not gonna lie I got kinda emotional during the finale. It was the right amount of sweetness for a Ted Lasso finale. -
Every message board community is smaller than it used to be. Just look at IGN for example. But I'm pretty openly far left and I would not call the community here radical left at all. Criticism of capitalism will still generate a decent amount of disagreements.

Movies Thor: Love and Thunder first look
Kamusha replied to Remarkableriots's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
This movie had a lot of good individual sequences but didn’t fully gel for me. Several tones are being juggled and the more emotional elements never really landed for me. -

I'm overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and donations today. It's been a tough few months watching my situation grow more worrisome but I'm feeling hope in a way I haven't in a long time. Y'all mean so much to me. Thank you -
Tampa pride event cancelled after DeSantis signs ‘anti-drag’ bill WWW.WFLA.COM A yearly pride event in downtown Tampa has been cancelled after a bill concerning “adult live performances” was signed into law Wednesday. This was a few days ago but I didn't see it posted. I'm still so heartbroken over this.

NAACP issues travel advisory for Florida
Kamusha replied to CitizenVectron's topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
Tampa is cancelling all their pride events next month due to retaliation from the state, so sure, let's talk about how this is a purely political statement. So many people here are scared and you have to be sheltered as to think there is no danger of coming here if you're trans. I've been talking to tons of other trans people in other online communities I'm part of and so many are actively working on moving out of red states right now. There is an actual migration of minority groups fleeing increasingly oppressive states. How do people not realize what's happening? -
NAACP issues travel advisory for Florida

DeSantis’s $13.5m police program lures officers with violent records to Florida | Florida | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Governor’s incentive scheme recruits officers with history of excessive violence or who have been arrested since signing up Florida is actively recruiting violent officers who have been fired from other states. So while there may be a political element to putting out such a statement, it’s also practical advice. This state is becoming more and more extreme at an alarming rate.
