  1. In that case, I'd rather subject myself to The Village than watch The Witch again.
  2. I honestly felt a bit overwhelmed. I'm still salty about the Cursed ship sinking us.
  3. I have the exact opposite opinion of that film. 95% meh, with a 5% ending that was able to hold my interest but nothing special. I could name 20 horror movies over the past few years I'd put ahead of it. Have you not seen Hereditary?
  4. My real question is, why isn't the VR Netflix app available for PSVR??? I'm also VERY tempted to pick up an Oculus Go. When I had my GS8 and Samsung Gear VR, the visual quality was noticeably better than on the PSVR.
  5. The Pro doesn't add pixels. While you're going to get better framerates, the IQ is never going to be clear because the pixels are literally up against your eyes. The darker the image, the worse it's going to get, because you can see the pixels. Movies do seem more watchable using the Pro, though. But still nowhere as clear as non-VR.
  6. Tell me about it. It was a BBC show for the first two seasons, streaming on Netflix months after initial release. Then for season 3, it was only a Netflix show, released worldwide simultaneously. They do so much with so little, shoot on location (which is awesome), and this might be the first book adaptation where I'm completely satisfied with the transition from book to screen. Each season is better than the one before, and I promise you, season 4 has the best content yet (books 7 & 8). Preach about the show everywhere--on Facebook, on Twitter, to friends and family--word of mouth is the only way the show will continue on Netflix. Uhtred is life... and one day he will return to claim his rightful place at Bebbanburg... but until then, there's work to be done.
  7. Mann's Miami Vice is one of Mann's best films, and it's spectacular. Extremely underrated film.
  8. Today's update just might be the biggest update to the game to date. The amount of things to do in the game just expanded immensely:
  9. I can confirm that the August Smartlock Pro does both of these flawlessly. Our lock has worked every time without fail. The August Doorbell Cam, on the other hand, has been spotty at best, but I'm still really happy I have it. With the August lock, you're only replacing the inside part, not the exterior. They don't sell an exterior or full lock set. And as stated above--the deadbolt has to line up perfectly when the door is closed for it to work properly. The weather sealing on our front door isn't particularly thick, and when we closed and locked the door before getting the August, we'd have to push and hold the door closed to lock the deadbolt. So we had to reposition the plate on the frame so it lined up with the bolt when the door was closed without pushing it. Once we did that, butter. Another obvious side note--if your doorknob has a lock, remember to keep it unlocked at all times, otherwise the August lock won't do you any good! Oh, and to lock and unlock remotely, you need the Connect Wi-Fi Bridge.
  10. If you like horror, The No Sleep Podcast will take up about a year of your life. 11 seasons, 20+ episodes a season, 2+ hours each episode. And bonus episodes. Another one I've gotten into recently is Darkest Night, which is a binaural podcast--the audio is placed physically around you, 360 degrees. With good headphones it's quite the effect.
  11. THANK YOU. How people can even slog through the Stephen Fry versions is beyond me. For Dresden Files, I loved the show, and the books are really fun too. It does help that they're read by James Marsters.
  12. The Last Kingdom: Season 3--5000/10 I honestly can't overstate just how good this show is. One of the very rare times that, as a book reader, I am completely satisfied with the translation. The shows nails it on every single front. This show IS better than both Vikings AND Game of Thrones.
  13. @EternallDarkness -- I've listened to Daniels with the Off to be the Wizard series, and while he does a fine job, he really doesn't hold a candle to Thompson. Seriously, run, don't walk to listened to the Thrawn Trilogy. This will get you started:
  14. What Darkness said. I have 100+ audiobooks from all fiction genres. If you're into Star Wars, listen to the Thrawn trilogy, as Marc Thompson is, by far, the best audiobook narrator working today. Those three books have a full production, too, with licensed music and sound effects. The Martian is a great listen, and substantially better than the movie. Same with Ready Player One. Omega Force series is fantastically narrated, too. The Mr. Mercedes trilogy is narrated by Will Patton, and he does a pitch perfect job.
  15. No Rainbow Six 3? This community has unequivocally failed.
  16. Same. I'm through episode 3, and it just keeps getting better. And from the books, the best is still yet to come! I also just got War of the Wolf, but I haven't started it yet as I'm currently on book 4 of Expeditionary Force.
