  1. I get the impression he's more upset that he spoke to the developers, felt a sense of empowerment off the fact he thought he was going to shape the next game and they were going to make changes based on his remarks, and is now more outraged he feels ignored. He specifically said he got emotional after speaking to them, feeling he was using his position of being able to speak to developers to make a difference. Is he really that outraged at the character design, or the fact the developer didn't find him important enough to change their entire game over.
  2. That was my main issue as well, and I wrote it to my group of buddies in group chat. I just don't think it was believable yet. They were clearly leading in that direction and building up to it, but I don't think enough had happned that would cuase the character we watched that was dead set on not being her Father, who was so reasonable and measured in most of her choices, suddenly completely breaks and does that. I agree, they didn't pull it off to make me actually believe it. I still feel its just all way too rushed. After 7 seasons really slowly methodically building up all these confrontations, just wish we had a full season to really flesh it all out and not feel like they are just trying to squeeze in all the endings of these storylines. These characters deserved more.
  3. DIdn't they mean Dany's army including the troops Jon is coming with? I just didn't get the impression they had a sizable fleet to transport a large army, and that is all they have at Kings Landing at the time. I still enjoy the show, just think an 8 episode season would've done wonders for a few of these storylines.
  4. Does Dany have a sizable force? She is there now with only who accompanied her on the ships right? Those ships were destroyed and whoever swam to shore is all she has left right? Jon is coming with the more sizable armies, but he's still not close to Kings Landing. Also with Tyrion on the ships, the fact they were completely unprepared and surprised by the Iron Fleet makes no sense. Dany might not be the smartest tactically, but at least Tyrion would probably say, umm maybe we shouldn't just sail straight to Kings Landing with the entire Iron Fleet reinforcing her. The only explanation would be, with the 2 dragons they may have been way overconfident and not worried about running into the Iron Fleet since the Dragons theoretically should be able to waste the fleet quickly. But they know they had ballistas in previous battles, so even that just seems too unbelievable to me.
  5. Well Jonathon Warner was the one that was thrown under the bus the most in the Kotaku article. He’s always the one taking the “leave of absence”. Mark Durrah was brought in very late to salvage it, and he’s now lead on DA4 I think.
  6. Games been out what, 4/5 years.... As much as people complain about the Gaming Media, some gamers themselves are just as idiotic. And they were bought out by Epic right? Not just a store exclusivity deal? Did all the studios Microsoft recently bought up get review bombed?
  7. Fortnite is like the poster child of Crossplay done right so I’d say yes
  8. I’m pretty sure it’s still rather popular for how old it is. They’ve started doing seasons and season passes with unlocks like Fortnite.
  9. Oh I haven't had any issues with the trees or rocks, at least not that I've noticed. I do feel time moves a bit too fast at times, so that'll be welcomed.
  10. Whats the respawn bug? All in all I can’t say I’ve had many bugs at all with my time. Did they mention changing the passage of time?
  11. Not gonna lie I’ve been hooked to this game. Just such a nice chill game to play by myself. It’s got a little bit of everything. I played a lot of Stardew Valley and actually think I prefer this over it. I haven’t played Stardew in 2 or so years though. It’s performance isn’t great on the Switch, but regardless it’s really scratched the itch for this style game.
  12. Hey they got free press for a game likely no one knew much about. I was about to go check it out myself if I weren’t getting to bed.
  13. PUBG ran into this issue on PC as well, and I remember all the hate they'd get about talking about new guns/features/cosmetics while the Hacking was an issue. "Why dont you fix the damn cheating going on instead of focusing on new shit". I still really enjoy the game. Season 1 in general was a big miss, and you can kind tell they threw it all together just to have something. Rewards suck, no daily/weekly challenges to add more variety to how you play, and Leveling takes forever. I'm like Lvl 48 and play quite a bit, and win quite a bit. A win gives you about 10k points, so 3 wins to level up once. One thing to understand though is a game like Fortnite, can literally do just about anything because of how it's gameplay plays out. The building mechanism gives them a lot of freedom in what it experiments with. It self balances a lot of things for them. Map changes dont matter in Fortnite because the building crates all the strategic gameplay. Want to add or remove whole sections, who cares. You dont have to think of cover or elevation really that much in Fortnite, because of building. In PUBG, Blackout, or Apex, the map designs matter a lot more. So those games arent really as free to play around with it and change it like Fortnite does. Also adding new "Legends" also requires a good amount of balance I'd think. Look at Overwatch, it takes them months and months to add Heroes. Its been out like 3 years and added 9 characters? While I know Apex's "Legends" arent as complex as Overwatch's, they still require more balancing and thought than most things other games tinker with.
  14. Haha not quite, but I am trying to start back up streaming myself again soon.
  15. I mean I haven’t finished RDR2 and feel confident I could give you a competent review score based on my 30 or so hours.
  16. Some delays to the Calendar, as expected. Rather have them delay them and get them right then try to rush it out.
  17. https://www.ea.com/games/anthem/news/patch-110?utm_campaign=anth_hd_ww_ic_soco_twt_110-042318&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&cid=58014&ts=1556038594502 Some nice changes here, notably - Can now go to Forge while in a mission, and change your loadout - Can now launch into a new mission from the End Mission screen, no need to go back to the fort. Those 2 alone should eliminate tons of needless loading screens. That as well as the previous update of having the Forge in the menu now with no load time, they really did eliminate almost all of the initial load screen issues. They launched The Sunken stronghold as well. Content wise ill check out the Stronghold, but still okay with waiting until they get the loot redesign out that they discussed before.
  18. I bought it on Switch as well as a Harvest Moon fan. So far enjoying it. Its feels a little bit like a race against time in some ways with so much to get done and wait times on certain crafting items. interactions this far with the towns folk are also very basic and limited. Looking forward to spending more time with it though. It actually reminds me a little of Breath of the Wild, with the stamina wheel looking near identical.
  19. Anthem needs a lot of work for sure. I don't regret the purchase, I am disappointed cause i think they could have had something really special if the development wasnt so F'ed up. I still hope they can fix things. Don't know nearly enough about Development to be able to predict anything, but i don't think they will abandon it anytime soon. Its pretty clear they were so quick to try to fix stuff that the updates were breaking more than they fixed cause of how rushed they were.
  20. I stopped playing til more content, which they are showing the new Stronghold tomorrow. Still one new stronghold wont be quite enough, so I hope its more than that. I also stopped playing Division 2 way quicker than i stopped playing Anthem though.
  21. I know, but I have such a backlog as is, and knowing how good the games are, I'd rather play them at the best possible fidelity. Wonder if they'll do anything like Xbox has done upping the resolutions and stuff on some of the games as well.
