  1. I was capturing Control Points, but it becomes a lot of micro managing cause they continuously get taken back over. I think you need to Clear the Missions and Strongholds to weaken the grasp of the enemies factions in the areas so your control points are taken less. You have to have minimum gear score to attempt missions I think.
  2. I mean its cool cause you always have something to do still, something to chase. But its not "End Game" in my opinion, because until you're Tier 4 or 5 or whatever it is, you can't solidify a build or anything and all the loot you find will be discarded. End Game to me is once you're finding max level items and are working towards perfecting builds, and I am definitely not at that point at all. Will items continue to drop at higher level Gear Score even if the higher gear score items are in your inventory and not equipped.
  3. when u hit Lvl 30 and beat all the 3 Strongholds then you get to Tier 1 and the map resets basically. Then you restart the game from scratch essentially. I think each Stronghold shows which missions need to be beat to unlock it, the 1st one only required one I think. The others might be 2.
  4. Beat the Strongholds again. You need to redo the Story Missions with Black Tusks to unlock a Stronghold, then beat the Stronghold and it'll move you up to the next Tier. Rinse and repeat for the different strongholds to keep moving up. I'm not sure if there is a specific order to do them in. I've still be solo playing the entire game, beat the first Stronghold in the Sports Arena on World Tier 1 solo, still pretty easy. World Tier 2 is challenging thus far, but moreso because it just seems you have so many enemies all over the place, that if you start attacking a Control Point theres a good chance another group might come in from nearby. I also haven't been trying to build any specific build, just putting on whatever is highest Gear Score, so my build is a mess. Will prob push to Tier 3 today though
  5. I ran an LMG for a big chunk of the run up to Lvl 30, and I felt it was pretty damn powerful. It does extra damage to enemies out of cover, so I'd focus on those. Pretty much every gun has felt fine to me thus far. I've currently started running a Shotgun/Rifle Combo and have been enjoying it. Since hitting 30 though and playing the "End Game" a bit, my interest has kind of dropped bit. Do we have a date of when the Raid is supposed to hit?
  6. Yeah I've saved so much stuff for the talents, and you need some of those extra items for those quests as well
  7. I had gotten to Level 30 awhile ago but didnt do the Strongholds thinking they were like Mini Raids, so I was waiting for some friends to catch up to do them together. What a mistake, wasted a lot of time not progressing my loot, and all the items I had that I thought would be useful for end game essentially become useless due to gear score. Can you up an items gear score at all, or is this going to be a constant, pick up new items with higher gear score and switch it out. I am impressed with the end game they put together, but I was happy to finally be able to settle down loot wise and focus on builds, but if its just constantly swapping items for Gear Score to get higher, its gonna be annoying.
  8. Well they haven't had anything worth buying with MTX yet. I think they want to get the game in a good state before they start focusing on MTX.
  9. I'm gonna assume this is all post story stuff. I hit Lvl 30 a few days ago but was waiting on a few friends to do the Strongholds. Seems you can't hit real end game til you do the Strongholds though, so guess I'll be tackling those today and tomorrow.
  10. You unlock a bunch of basic ones from the Quartermaster, but you unlock the rest it seems from Side Missions or Settlement upgrades that reward them. Once you get them, you have to craft them once at Home Base then you can just choose them on any gun. Its not so much a physical item you have, its just an unlock you have that becomes an option going forward in the game.
  11. http://blog.bioware.com/2019/03/19/anthem-post-launch-update/ Update from Casey Hudson Summary We know the launch has been rough but we are committed to perfecting the game/end game ect. The upcoming events that lead to the Cataclysm are really exciting, thanks for sticking with us and be prepared to see that the best is yet to come. I'm still looking forward to whats to come and eager to see how the world "evolves" I've personally taken a break from the game as I know they are planning big "Loot Changes" so I figure I might as well wait to see what they are before investing huge time in getting loot that may become irrelevant.
  12. I always just rotate the 4/5 games I play the most on my SSD. I've had Anthem on there and while load times still aren't great it never did stick out to me.
  13. Something I've noticed... If you get certain weapons with talents you really love, save them in your stash, as the Re-calibration in this game allows you to trade talents off one gun and put them on another gun of the same type. Same goes for Armor, you can only trade the talent of the same Armor type.
  14. I can 2nd this. I've had an external SSD since back in the Division 1 days, and in this game it actually gave you a real advantage over others with the Dark Zone. Loading in faster after dying or being able to fast travel to different checkpoints with loads that are 15/20 seconds faster than others allowed you to get around quicker to cut off Rogues.
  15. I've barely even died playing this game. As I said early on, I find it to be far too easy. I like the fact that if you get flanked and pushed on you'll probably die. I prefer that realism over Division 1. The only times I have died is when I happen to get unlucky and the room I'm in also happens to be the door where enemies spawn out of, or poor game mechanics like cover not protecting you from foam that doesn't physically hit you. Its a new game mechanic and it was the first time I encountered it. I learned its broken and know how to work around it. Thats not good game design or user error, its learning broken game mechanics and working around them.
  16. This entire response can be summed up to... learn and memorize where monster closets are, avoid them. As for the Foam Boss issue, yeah, I had to learn the game mechanic that apparently cover doesnt work on Foam Guns, as he can shoot foam over my head and it gets me stuck at my feet and waist for a good solid 5/6 seconds. I learned from it and didn't die afterwards. That doesn't negate the fact its broken and a boss shooting foam over my head shouldn't get my entire body stuck like he was hitting me dead center out of cover.
  17. You've posted 2 separate gameplay video that have absolutely nothing to do with the point that was brought up. The videos you posted are of the most straight forward basic missions, with enemies attempting to flank, that literally has absolutely nothing to do with what @mo1518brought up. And I'm not saying that the spawn issue is something that happens all the time or is game breaking, just that its happened a few times and is annoying when it has happened.
  18. I don't think you even understand exactly what his complaint even is if you think that video was proof of anything to contradict it. I've had instances where I'm in a room, and literally an entire group of 4/5 enemies spawn out of thin air inches away from me, and its instant death. There is no positioning or awareness issue, its simply a "bad luck", this happens to be where the next wave of enemies spawns from. It happens a lot more in the free roam areas than it does in actual missions, or its just easier to predict where the next waves will come from so you naturally avoid it, but I've had it happen in missions as well. The game can at times punish you for playing more aggressively or pushing really far forward near the enemies spawn. It's not like Division 1 where you can pop a heal to get over-shield and get the hell out of there quick. If you are in an area where enemies spawn really close to you, you're basically screwed. Regardless though, I am really loving the game thus far. Lvl 17 so far. It's not a hard game, but it does play a bit more tactically than the first game which I like. You do need to stay aware of your surroundings a lot more cause getting flanked will give you a hard time. I've had one mission where I died a few times and that was with the Boss with a foam gun, as it was the first time I experienced that game mechanic, and its relatively bugged. I'd be behind cover and he'd shoot at me with the foam gun and it gets me 100% stuck and pretty much insta death. Took me a few tries to figure out how the mechanic works and how far you need to be away, if cover protects you, ect before you I got through that.
  19. That’s right I need to go back to this too... It gets real tough
