  1. This is the main reason I held out on buying the PS4 Pro, all the single player masterpieces can wait til the PS5 comes out for me to play them, hopefully with better performance than they are on any of the current gen hardware.
  2. I figured they’d introduce some double XP weekends or something as well, and nothing yet. I’m Tier 39 and I feel I play the game a lot and win a lot. Hopefully Season 2 is a big improvement.
  3. Why is it EA that is to fix it, the article kind of points out that EA is relatively hands off and lets their studios do their own thing. They just ask for a long term revenue stream.
  4. I mean of course when it was brand new it was going to garner a huge audience, and that would level out some. The first Battle Pass was pretty disappointing for most I think. A few crappy gun skins, only a few character skins. The only real worthy item is the Tier 100/110 Gun Skin for the Havoc, a gun a lot don't necessarily like, and the Epic/Legendary Apex Pack. I guess once you hit Lvl 100, you don't get more Apex Packs for leveling up, and many hoped the Battle Pass would alleviate that, and there were so few as rewards it really didnt. They also dont have weekly or daily challenges to really drive daily interactions like a Fortnite. Overall I still think the core gameplay is the best of any BR, and my go to. It took Fortnite awhile to get it's legs and momentum. Apex just happened to blow up out the gate and level out. It's fine.
  5. The first game had huge changes so frequently to builds, that I lost interest cause it wasnt worth the time to invest in making a perfect build, only to have it be made pretty much useless with the next patch. Still need to get some more time in now that im WT5, but just haven't had the urge really.
  6. I was pretty hyped for this until I found it its Single Player only. Now I'll probably pass on it. The difference from Borderlands, as far as I know, is that Borderlands is a loot game with random gear rolls, where as this game will have set guns more similar with a Doom game. I haven't followed it much though so I maybe wrong.
  7. It's an interesting topic. Curious if you guys support the ADA? Businesses are forced by law to make their establishments accessible for disabled and handicapped people, why should a game be different? I'm not arguing for it, but I guess I had never thought of difficulty in games as something that could really be limiting for some gamers that struggle to play certain titles due to things that are out of their control. The whole idea of "Git Gud" doesn't really translate. I always prefer to play my games on harder difficulties, and used to be one that would say, well if its too hard for you too bad. But not sure I still totally feel that way. Microsofts new controller kind of highlights that fact, and many of you were championing MS for doing what they did to allow more gamers to play more things, but are against certain developers making some adjustments to allow those same gamers to possibly enjoy more games by scaling a few difficulty settings for them. I personally am still conflicted overall, but if it doesn't hurt my experience with a game, and allows more people to play it, I don't see the harm in adding more options.
  8. When did the Remaster come out for the next gen consoles? That then the PC launch is def what has helped keep this going along with a rather well made online mode.
  9. Yeah I get that, but why bundle something it there's no inherent value in the bundle? At least make it like $12 a month or something so you save a a few bucks buying them individually. At this point you can usually get deals for 6 months of gamepass for like $30, and I still dont pay more than $40 for Live.
  10. Yeah I totally get that. I'm not trying to dis the game, its really really well made. It's an amazing cover shooter. Great content and such an evolution over the first. I am just usually addicted to these types of games, but after a few of the updates on Division 1 I lost interest and I think I'm feeling the same with this. I think too much loot is a bad thing, and this game just gives you non stop loot all over. I know a lot like that and its just all about tweaking builds and what not, but for me I typically enjoy the feeling of having higher end loot drops in games, and you dont ge tthat in this game yet. Maybe now with the Gear Sets coming it'll feel better.
  11. I can, but I've had little desire to play this much past few days. I'm like 450 Gear Score, and I know there's still plenty to do, but I don't find it to be all that interesting or fun at this point. Kind of some of the initial issues I was worried about. Core gameplay just isn't fun or varied enough to really drive me to come back, regardless of how much content there is. I played a lot of the first one cause I found the Dark Zone fun and I'd hunt rogues all day, but this time around I just dont feel like figuring out and googling every little nuance to get the best PvP builds. I'll check it out tomorrow with the new update and see if theres more to make me want to come back.

  13. Wasn't Crackdown also like the most played game on Xbox that month though. So even that it didnt "Sell" well, it was being played by a lot of people through Game Pass? Did Forza Horizon 4 chart well?
  14. Could also be a sign of more and more game pass subscribers. They’ve been running the $1 first month promo for awhile I think, dint think they did that last year around the Sea of Thieves or State of Decay launches. Sea of Thieves being sold as a game as a service as well I’d think would push more to buy it rather than play it for a month. Did Sea of Thieves review well? State of Decay 2 was only what, $30/$40? Crackdown was a full $60 I believe. Gamepass will be be interesting to watch with future MS games though. I still think they’d be perfectly reasonable to have their first party stuff come out 3 months later on the service as opposed to Day 1. How did Forza Horizon 4 do last year?
  15. He mentioned they gave BioWare a bulletpoint breakdown of what would be in the article do the response was probably based on that. I agree though they should have read through the article before issuing any response, but I still feel the response was generally pretty generic and tame, probably because they were responding to generalized billet points. The line regarding feeling articles like his don’t help the industry probably wasn’t needed or could’ve been put better. Its always easy to find a few unhappy people in any project that can probably paint any project to sound as a disaster and terrible. It’s ultimately always a he said/she said.
  16. Thats kinda where I'm at. As I said before, Division and Destiny at launch I'd argue were in a worse state. Now Bioware had those learnings to work with so Anthem shouldn't have repeated those mistakes, but I think Anthem could make some basic fixes and get more content out and be a drastically improved game.
  17. Yeah I read their response, it was as cookie cutter mundane just basically saying, we are looking at what we did wrong, know we can always improve as a company, but don't want to partake or comment on things that are putting the blame at certain peoples feet. What else would you expect them to say, yeah the Director that took over was garbage and ruined this game. I feel like I didn't really learn anything much reading that though, as most of those things were fairly easy to assume were issues just by playing the game. Hell they don't even have cosmetics to sell yet probably cause they are just trying to get the game working as intended.
  18. Ultimately it sounds like Casey Hudson left at the worst possible time, and his replacement just wasn't up for the job of leading a brand new project.
