That's a bit of an oxymoron. People don't like the movie because they recognize he doesn't understand Star Wars and/or its lore.

He made a bad movie. Spin or not.

WB/DC are masters of postulating that Superman is the greatest hero of all time, yet he gets no actual attention because "He's not Batman" .... Games, movies, comics, toys/collectibles. As a Superman fan it's fucking annoying =/

The way they shot the girl fight was disappointing. Up until now, every fight has been pretty good. But this was just a shakey cam mess. Was one of the actresses just not capable of doing convincing fighting or something? The asian chick (I forget her character name) has been fine in her fights, and so has Maeve. Starlight looked kinda uninspired here, but she wasn't horrible in any previous action scenes she's done. So was it Stormfront who was the lame duck? Not a bad season considering The Boys is a good show overall. But yea, this season seamed a bit too "set-up-y" .... I just hope it doesn't go the route of Heroes where everyone eventually gets a power and it becomes all talking and no actual action.

Horrible news to wake up to today. And it's so weird for me because I was watching a lot of Van Halen stuff last night, including DLR's last interview with Rogan where he was breaking down how Van Halen started off playing all the local parties in SoCal back in the 70's =/

There's an importance to talk about Trump's claiming of being infected in this thread because the WHO and CDC both have to consider all the new possibilities as to how this will affect local medical communities going forward. Months ago I posted how California medical practices were planning on Trump creating a false vaccine when election season started, and here we are in the middle of it. The talk that's just starting to leak through some new emails I'm reading are all about re-arranging big meeting later today so the big wigs can talk about it. What if Trump isn't sick, but uses his "cure" as a springboard to claim he has a working vaccine? What if Trump is really sick and tries to denounce the virus as being anything serious? (he could be filming videos now to play over the next couple of weeks to show him as being semi-healthy all throughout). Medicine doesn't care about politics, but it does need to protect itself at all times from them.

Word around the water cooler is that this was Trump's last ace-in-the-hole to use as an excuse to get out of something. He's going to use this as a reason to not have to debate Biden, and he's probably going to say he has some early vaccine that "cured him" once he thinks enough time has passed so that he won't have to debate again. But whether or not he does have Covid is up for debate. He wouldn't so quickly have announced it on Twitter if he did, so the medical community is suspicious...

Wait, I thought this was going to be a series and not just a film ??

Into Darkness was pure shit. I thought the last one (Beyond?) was a great attempt at moving the franchise back to the random formula of the original Star Trek series that mixed the crew characters up with each other and told it's own unique story (minus the whole "Hey look, someone wants revenge against the Federation" villain)... And I was so hoping these new movies would have at least given us a great potpourri of ideas if the writers were so intent on rehashing old plots... What if Starfleet did push out farther in space to find Khan earlier than the original series, but then they got the attention of the Borg at the same time somehow? What if Khan then needed to team up with Kirk to take on the ultimate threat? What if Mudd conned his way on the the Enterprise and replaced 50% of the crew with clone machines, and we had an invasion of the body snatchers scenario? What if Kirk did die and there was a story about trying to clone him back to life (versus the original Ponfar Spock idea)? What if the Klingons and Romulans did team up and killed off most of the Federation and Kirk was in a type of situation that we saw Riker and the future Enterprise in the Parallels episode of TNG? Since these movies just wanted to rehash old ideas, there was so much potential for a fun "What if...?" mixture of ideas. It's a shame, but at the same time I never took the JJ-verse of Star Trek as serious and respected as I did all the original movies, so these never bothered me as being anything official to canon.

And usually get full service stuff done to replace psu caps and wires (etc) so what have might be okay to use. But for these new kits, he gets super booked up for a while with everyone looking for an install. No. It's always been that mythical "white mogul group at the top" who choose what movies the academy even gets to vote on that should be given outlines of inclusion and diversity needs. Now with the way this news is written, I guess former Oscar winners like The French Connection, Parasite, or even Black Panther can never be considered for a nod because they aren't forcing diversity into their stories when they weren't needed (or called for) to begin with...

Wow. This was the last show that was still airing that had any connection to my youth and the other shows that were playing in the early 2000's - Aqua Teen, Space Ghost C2C, Samurai Jack, Megas XLR, Metalokalypse, Dexter's Lab, etc... This news kinda signals the end of a dynasty in a way =(

It amazes me that after a full year of their existence, AEW still hasn't set up any good feuds, doesn't have any well established mega faces or mega heels, hasn't produced any decent story lines, and refuses to create and push their own stars so all the ex-WWE guys get to be on top... After MJF's loss this last PPV, what else is there to look forward to? Who else is over enough (either as a face or a heel) that has you excited to see them face the champ? This is sad =/

I'd say you definitely need to watch the first movie to really get a lot of the subtleties for this show. There's a great show moment where Johnny is recalling his feud with Daniel and explaining how it all started from his point of view. If you only kinda remember the movie, his explanation loses its impact when you can't remember exactly what he's talking about.

All that needs to happen now is for Seth to win the other world title, and then we can have The Shield dominating wrestling like it was 2015 all over again
