CM Punk got his travel bus, but I'm not sure if Vince paid for it or if Punk was paying for it. Even RvD had to pay for his own rental cars when he was champion (hence when he got pulled over on a marijuana possession charge and was stripped of the belt). And I think I remember a Cornette story about Vince paying for a rental car for himself and the writers to all share any time Vince wanted to drive (and was a terror when doing so since he rarely ever drives, lol). I think depending on your actual contract pay, travel can eat up a lot of your income, which was why Owen and Foley were notoriously frugal when looking for hotel and car prices (Owen sleeping on a bunch of different wrestling fans couches even).

The last time I read a contract list, Benoit had all his first class tickets paid for by WWE, Undertaker was afforded personal jets, and Trips got to use the private WWE jet any time he wanted. Even still, during Covid Vince is basically saying, "come work on your own dime" (travel, hotel, food) while also, "go home if you want with the risk of being let go."

UFC's even going all out with their fight island concept. Meltzer reported there are 4 cities around the world (USA?) with major airport hubs that are in close proximation to where most fighters actually live. A fighter will go to that city, get tested for Covid, and be put up in seclusion in a hotel while the results get calculated. Once she/he passes the test, they immediately get on a plane to wherever White's fantasy island is, and they live there in total seclusion until their fight happens. I don't think Vince is even paying for his wrestler's airfare to get to Florida to tape his stupid shows, lol

Vince is of course to blame, but a lot of it needs to go to Kevin Dunne as well. Apparently he was the one who decided that masks in the audience don't look good on camera =/

What needs to be understood is that a bunch of tweets came out on the same day, and it escalated from that day until present time with a whole bunch of new stuff being thrown out. And it's not like this kind of #metoo shaming hadn't happened in wrestling already - there were a lot of harassment accusations thrown out last year that were dealt with - so why didn't these same people join in on the train then? I'm not taking anything away from anyone that has a legit gripe to claim. But this all sounds a little fishy with the way this current wave of accusations have come out. And let's be honest here, Sammy is being overly punished by AEW by not being paid, Cornette just dropped an hour long rebuttable against his accuser that sounds absolutely like his accuser is just trying to get one over on him, and someone like Joey Ryan (who I'm not really a fan of) getting shit on by other people in the business who all want to jump on the safe bandwagon, "I knew he was crap all along and never wanted to work with him, but did" is pretty pathetic sounding.

The timing of a lot of these accusations is really suspect... To all happen on the same day is really weird. And then to pull out older known clips of people (like Sammy and Riddle) to get them in trouble... Sadly, I smell b.s. on a lot of this being sincere call outs =/

There's further news that Netflix is also looking to further the franchise out somehow with other/more stories... Just as long as they stay away from making that horrible Swanson movie into a full on series, I'm all good with whatever.

Imagine if AEW dumped millions in Heyman's lap to jump ship. Imagine if AEW stole a high profile star away from Vince and actually made that guy a main champion. Vince keeps screwing up, and AEW refuses to see past their mid-carder roster to take advantage =(

Two spikes in the Covid race are being predicted as coming from the medical world - one because of the upcoming stay at home orders ending in a couple of states this month, and the other coming from the protests and looting that's been happening all across the country. Movie chains think people are all gung-ho to see a movie in theaters, without much talk of the spread of the virus possibly being that much worse in the long run. If Tenet is worth the risk, I just hope people stay safe and keep others safe by getting tested immediately.

You can always cherry pick. Shadows of the Empire is perfectly fine for being the in-between from ESB to RotJ. Knights of the Old Republic is fine for everything in that era. Nothing has to be 100% lined up anymore. Even if Disney jsut revealed how Luke got his X-Wing back after he left it on Cloud City, and by proxy interferes with SotE, it doesn't mean all of SotE is now debunked =)

How much influence does WB have wit the actual distribution side of DC Comics? I know Disney influences Marvel on content, but as far as how Marvel distributes their comics in physical and digital form, it's pretty much up to them and not the mouse. Could this new deal be a WB decision?

Nope, those are the best. Well, End of Eva was encoded pretty poorly, and I think either the UK or Australian release was the better release. And technically Japan released the series set with the movies on a slick bluray, but it's not English friendly. For now, the platinum collection is the tops, and the Manga dvd releases of the movies are fine (especially considering that the foreign releases are OOP). We'll see how the AlltheAnime comes out, since they're great with their bonus content but have been known to be pretty lousy with their own in house encodes =/

So, AlltheAnime just announced that they acquired the home video distribution rights for the original tv series (exclusive to the UK). And they're a company known to go through a lot of red tape to get all the extras and bonuses for any one anime that they release (commercials, video game ads, etc). So this will be a good idea as to what the license holders will allow/won't allow for the franchise going forward. Even if they're required to use the new dubs and translations, who knows if they'd be denied putting in the ADV stuff (plenty of anime on bluray releases have multiple dubs available to switch between on one disc nowadays). https://www.alltheanime.com/collections/neon-genesis-evangelion

The first half of this movie was definitely above-average. But the farther away it got from that Krypton opening, the worse it got...

Weird. The women's list looks like a mix of my mother and my little niece's favorites while the men's looks like my grandfather and father's favorites... I'd be real curious to know age ranges with this list.
