Playing yokai busters and sonic mania (finally). Thinking about what I want to take with me for a business trip in another week. Would you say it’s worth getting the collection or does it’s fun run thin after a while? I kind of want to get butafter getting the sf collection I only played a few mins then got bored

I think an even bigger shame is how much Sony botched the vita tv. It’s a fantastic device hampered by their short sidedness with the game whitelist restrictions. I think there is only really 2-5 games that can’t work/will crash and those could have been patched/fixed (gyro and camera related)

No, it did ok but not great. Well compared to Nintendo handhelds, still the 2nd best for non Nintendo handhelds and sold more then a few major consoles in japan. Yet still a far cry from what psp did.

I’ll take one even though I still have a n64 but I think people will be disappointed with some key titles missing (goldeneye and possibly rare games).

I think it’s time we need to stop making places of work gun free zones. If simply that box of cheerios had a gun then she would have been courteous and everything would be fine.

I'm kind of curious, I wonder if sony is reusing Vita tv parts to build this thing or if they ported everything to a new SOC to make this. My money is on Vita parts. I do hope MGS makes the list. I played through it again like a year ago and still felt it held up well. Also, R4 is still beautiful.

@CastlevaniaNut18 pretty much got most of it. PS1 on PS3 started hw but swapped to software even on units that still have the ps2 hw. Ps2 also started with hw but some/all? slim model ps2 swapped to a software emulator for ps1 titles. Nope, all ps3 moved to software for ps1. Only first two models had the chip for hw ps1 but even those use sw with later fw.

Holy hell that initial lineup gives me hope the remaining titles are just as good. At least we know sony’s Ps1 emulators are pretty damn good so this should play well. I hope Japan gets a modified game list so I have a reason to pick up both

Part of the experience with gaming is pulling out the box and even checking the manual if it has one. It’s also nice to easily see what’s in my collection when it’s physical and I can see unopened games I haven’t gotten around to playing. On the flip side I barely remember what I own digitally on some systems and it’s a nightmare to figure out what is there to dl (looking at u ps3/vita). It’s also nice to know that if for some reason I need to liquidate my collection I can still get some $$ back from it (I use to build up then sell off my collection when I was bored of it to have cash to spend on the next collection)

Agreed, I feel if I don’t grab a pair the already crazy price is just going to get worse.

Playing Yo-Kai Blasters On 3ds atm. Might consider picking up another 3ds game next week to take on a business trip at the start of October.

Just wanted to check in on Yo-kai Busters. I'm having fun replaying through the game in english. It's not mind blowing good but still much fun like a saturday morning cartoon. So consider giving it a shot sometime before the game becomes hard to pick up (It's nintendo published but I'm not seeing many copies up here in canada). Nah it's too generic. If you really want a red unit the Pokeball one is still the best. And if you were to go for imports. The DQ Slime n2DS XL is very nice...

That sounds like a lot of fun. Sadly I don't have enough people to convince to do a retro game night at my place. On the flip side at a previous company when we did game night there I would try to bring in something retro or different. When I did PC-Engine it was great but wish I had more then 2 controllers =(

Finished it yesterday. Eps 2 & 7 were my favorite and I respect the craft in 6 but it didn’t hit the same emotional tone that eps like this in past season did. Music was fantastic this season.

Purple hits this month in the US. Black w/ Red I think is jp only since we got black and teal.

Keep an eye out for black friday I say. Japan got a Minecraft Green system this year. Maybe we'll see it as a surprise system. If not, how about purple? (Hits september 28th) I also still see some retailers have the Zelda or Pikachu n2ds LE units in stock.

Ouch, the pair of Nes controllers are $60, can only be bought through Nintendo and you must have an online subscription first to buy them. =/ -edit- they ship in December.
