You make a lot of reasonable points and I'm not 100% sold on most but I mostly want to point out this line atm. I have a hard time buying into this one. These were the same die hard bush supports shouting "you're either with us or a terrorist sympathizer or un-american" to "Bush who? Oh yeah fuck that guy. Palin my queen!!" These people will be die hard supports of who ever the GOP picks in 2024.

I just don’t understand why the rnc is ready to go down with this ship. The titanic is sinking yet they’re lining up to host ticket sales for the second voyage.

General Gaming Import Gaming. Are you importing games?
chakoo replied to Rodimus's topic in The Spawn Point
I've got tons of imports, even my PS Classic is an import. =P Yet for modern systems, I've kind of stop importing but I've also cut back a lot on my game buying for PS4/Switch to more focus on my other systems. With that said, my craziest import this year was a Neo Geo AES and a few games. =/ -

So my unit showed up sooner than expected and arrived on Friday. It’s really a shame Sony did a shotty job on the software side because on the hardware/packaging front this thing is amazing. They went so far as to also put felt pads on the unit like the original. The controllers are solid and the unit is pretty (i’d dare say even better then the nes/snes classic). The packaging is solid and not cheap. Yet with that that said the software side is still as poor as expected. Even though jp unit has ntsc tekken 3, my first battle was fine but in the second battle there were frequently micro stutters/performance stalls. Luckily the hacking community is on a roll and will fix the flaws making this a nice little retro box. With that said, i’d still recommend a psp go w/ component cables if you want to really play ps1 games. Yet if you want a shelf toy (seriously all of these classic units are just that), it’s a damn pretty one. -edit- its kind of crazy how much parasite eve has aged. Still having fun but man holding down run and still barely moving is so bad.

In fairness all these micro consoles are useless as I still have original systems or means to play the game. That still doesn’t take away from the fact I find them cool and hasn’t stopped me from buying them.

Hacking is making great progress, they’ve already got a game loading off a usb stick. Also sony messed up and used public keys when doing the encryption. So it won’t be long till they gain full control over the device. Also I end up ordering a jpn unit that just shipped and will have next week.

It seems digital foundry is finding the emu performance to be poor (or games running at solid 30 on ps1 are not in the emulator) https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2018-playstation-classic-emulation-first-look I think i’m still keeping mine with the intent to just hack it (it’s got a reasonable SOC in it)

General Gaming Post What You Purchased In "Black Friday Sales"

Ok scratch my unhappiness, late Sunday I was able to order a copy of detective Pikachu for $20 off and today I walked in to eb to find namco collection on switch was $30 cad ($25 off). I’m happy with getting those two. -
The pal games on the device is bull crap. I guess depending on what game you want, the jpn unit might be better. Hopefully this thing gets hacked quickly. -edit- just saw the confirmation on us blog. -.- -edit 2- I still like the build of the unit but Sony really is cocking up the software side (i’m good with 95%of the games but again why pal?).

Sweden is great for how little they use cash, I pulled out a small amount of krona just in case when I went on a business trip but did not use a single bill, in many cases to use it would have been a bigger hassle then my card. While I’m also unsure if crypto currency is the answer I can see the need to tie a digital $ to something.

Well shotty bf on my end. Only additional thing I got was a used copy of Tokyo Xanadu for vita (used vita games were 20% off at a local shop, only new game on sale was Pokémon moon). Just gonna grab up some digital 3ds games off the eshop sale. -edit- Grabbed Stella Glow & SGT: Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker digitally because the prices are too good. While I would prefer physical copies I don't see those very often for a decent price. Skipped on ZE: Virtues Last Reward as I can still find physical copies for pretty cheap. -
Good list, amazingly you could probably build that list with a system for under $100 (though conker might cost a bit).

Too soon but will do the usual, buy up some cheap 3ds games that will take years for me to play (I still have not gotten through everything I bought last Black Friday) -
https://happyholidays.nintendo.com/cyber-deals/ Some great deals on older 3ds games are live on eShop. I’m eyeing like maybe 3 titles I still don’t own. Also if you don’t have dq7 I highly recommend it!!!

Yeah, I remember when they use to go for not all that much. =/ It's kind of odd/interesting where some games go for crap tons and some games go for less even when they're rarer.

Nice PCB get @CastlevaniaNut18, If I could pick up any cps1 game I would love to grab Punisher (that or one of the CPS changer releases for the novelty). There are many alternatives like even this one. Superguns are pretty straight forward (you can even build your own with some wiring). http://retroelectronik.com/en/supergun/145-supergun-progamer-arcade-jamma-autofirevoltmeter-included-5674864654514.html
