  1. lol, you guys know I'm right. GotG was fresh and fun. GotG2 felt like a try hard imitation trying to capture the same spirit of the original.
  2. Lighter for sure. A lot of that is because I have a huge passion for cartoons and animation.
  3. @SFLUFAN Ha! Wow, totally forgot about this. You're the man! Anyway, PS4 please! Edit: Is this physical or PSN?
  4. Untitled Horse balls... Goddamn you horse balls... It's been eight years, And now you have the balls to say, "lets get a couple of beers..." No, I won't fall into your trap Never again will I fall into your lap Or be slapped around by your sack while you gyrate on my back You know they're always on my mind And their presence makes me go blind You're always testing me with your testes Trotting yourself while they roam free It's been eight years, And once again, I've fallen victim to your supple rear Horse balls... Goddamn you horse balls... You know I will always come at the sound of your call...
  5. Could the Switch Pro theoretically be able to play many of these mini games? It's not necessarily about the motion controls, but about how they want you to hold and move the controller.
  6. Platformers are my jam, but I can't foresee a scenario where I get to play this game. PSVR is too expensive, especially for just one game, and the only person I know with VR has the Rift, and Astro is a PS exclusive. So tell me all about it, and I'll imagine how awesome it is.
  7. My Wii U Pro would connect as a 360 controller, I wonder how many more are like that? Either way, I've moved on to the Switch Pro. If you don't have bluetooth, USB works too. I have both, but I find it easier just to plug in my long USB cord and play.
  8. I don't think this thing releases without Goldeneye. Nintendo will do whatever is necessary to make that happen. Sure it would still be successful without it, but Goldeneye will take it to the next level. And of course they will only pack in 2 controllers, which means many will be buying two more for 4 player madness. Goldeneye, Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Smash. Personally I hope they have The New Tetris. Best multiplayer Tetris game ever made with one of the greatest soundtracks of all time.
  9. Really excited for this. Phoenix Wright is one of my favorite games of all time. I never actually finished the third one though, so I'm ready to play the whole trilogy in one go.
  10. I really like these mini consoles. Even though I have Retroarch decked out with every retro console, including borders, boxart, filters, and Steam launching, there's still something really appealing about a simple plug and play machine that just works and anyone can use. Also having near identical controller hardware is a big seller for me. So if this has decent on-board storage to add additional games, or at least a reasonable solution, I'll definitely get this.
  11. None of this bothers me. I've never backed up my saves for any console ever, and I accept my fate if anything happens. Having old saves on the cloud is pointless anyway (if you stopped subscribing). Nintendo should automatically back up everyone, then charge a subscription fee if you need access.
  12. I really liked the demo. The game plays and feels fantastic. Capcom really nailed the basic mechanics. I was concerned about the gear system making the game too easy, but that's not the case at all. The meter gets used so fast and the cool down is long enough that it's difficult to abuse. Though I do think the power-up gear is far less useful than the slow down gear. The level design was really nice, and the way it builds on itself is classic Mega Man design. The stage is actually really long with 2 checkpoints and 2 mini bosses. Health drops seem very rare, and I never got a 1up drop aside from the gimme after the second checkpoint. The boss design was a nice change of pace with multiple forms it seems. I haven't been able to beat it, but I thought it was well designed. However, I do like how Mega Man games have you fight against similar sized robot masters as an all out duel. I hope every boss doesn't have a large form. Save that for Wily's Castle. Graphics are hit and miss. Outside environments look great, inside was pretty uninspired. Music did not sound like Mega Man, unfortunately. It wasn't terrible, just kind of generic. Overall I'm very excited for this. Capcom proper hasn't made a classic Mega Man game in forever so I was a big skeptical, but I'm definitely sold now.
  13. Yeah, that's kind of what I'm holding out for. Maybe a stupid question, my mobo has pci express 3.0, would I be able to use a new GPU with hdmi 2.1 with it? Or is the mobo chipset not compatible with the new standard? There's no way I can do everything in one go, so I need to stagger it. Really not sure what my priorities are though. I still have a great 1080p set, but I want to upgrade to 4K. I'm a big media guy so I need to figure out how to get UHD Blu rays on my PC. But doesn't that require the latest CPU and mobo, or would a compliant gpu work?
  14. Still rocking my 970. These next few years are going to be brutal for me. I'm going to be in the market for a new cpu, mobo, and gpu. And probably a new TV and receiver. Not sure which order I should go in though.
  15. I'm considering waiting for the Switch version, as it will probably take me twice as long to finish on PC. Then again, the PC version will probably have a mod to add in the orchestral soundtrack. Switch I'm sure will be midi.
  16. Why are people still buying games on day one anyway? They're just going to get discounted in a few months anyway, sometimes by 50%. The only games I pre-order are Nintendo games that I need to play on day one. Because I know they're not going on sale for a long time.
  17. It's amazing that Nintendo once remade every single console Mario game and put them in one package.
  18. He's been thinking about it all wrong? He didn't think about the portability or new characters? What was he thinking about then? I don't think this guy has had a single original thought.
  19. Any normal company would do a NSMB collection with all of the games, but Nintendo will charge $60 for a single 6 year old game. Sure it's a great game, but it would have to be really cheap for me to revisit on the Switch.
  20. Sure I agree for commercially available stuff, it's far more convenient. But there's so much content out there that would be lost without this type of sharing. For example, every Halloween I download a Halloween TGIF block from the 90s, including all of the commercials. It's awesome revisiting that stuff. There are bigger examples like Harmy's Despecialized Star Wars editions, but there's also smaller projects. There are groups out there that track down film reels and do HD transfers that don't exist. Song of the South is a good example as it's unlikely Disney will ever re-release that, it looks fantastic in 1080p though. The Thief and the Cobbler is a great one, as fans have cobbled () together every source they can find to re-create the director's original vision: story boards, brand new film transfers, VHS segments; all to make the best cut available.
