Joe Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 What do y'all do for a second Switch controller? Do you buy a second joycon or just get one of those Switch controllers that look like a regular controller? Quote

Keyser_Soze Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 I don't have a second controller Quote

I have 3 official Nintendo ones because I have a problem with limited edition controllers 2 Quote
CastlevaniaNut18 Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Pro controller is the best controller I’ve ever used. Get it. Quote
Joe Posted September 15, 2020 Author Posted September 15, 2020 Robot Check WWW.AMAZON.COM I was looking at this guy. The price is right, but I don't know if it's missing features. Quote

CastlevaniaNut18 Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 But the official. You can afford to live in NYC, you can spring for a good controller. Quote
TheLeon Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 I’m pretty cheap in most areas, but I’ve never had good luck with non-official controllers. I balked at a $70 controller, but ended up grabbing one and I love it. Quote
CastlevaniaNut18 Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Eh, you live close enough. just buy the damn controller. Third party controllers generally suck. That’s why they’re so cheap. I think first party controllers are overpriced, but I do get plenty of use and the quality is excellent. Quote
Joe Posted September 15, 2020 Author Posted September 15, 2020 Does OnePlus make Switch controllers? Quote
Joe Posted September 15, 2020 Author Posted September 15, 2020 I ended up going the knockoff route. Y'all are nuts. If we end up playing a lot, we can get the official one too. 1 Quote
Keyser_Soze Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 If you get a knockoff at least get a good knockoff like 8bitdo Quote
Joe Posted September 15, 2020 Author Posted September 15, 2020 Btw how are the buttons on the Joy Con so tiny? I have small hands and it's too small for me. Quote
Joe Posted September 20, 2020 Author Posted September 20, 2020 It appears I angered the Switch gods with this thread. The controller joystick was faulty lol. I sent it back and ordered the real Pro. Coming on Thursday. 1 Quote
Dodger Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Dude just get the official pro controller. It’s awesome. What did you save $20 to get the knock off? Quote
Joe Posted September 20, 2020 Author Posted September 20, 2020 It was closer to $40, but I did end up getting the official one. Quote
Bjomesphat Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Pro Controller is good for 3D games, sucks for 2D games because the d-pad isn't great. https://www.amazon.com/8Bitdo-Sn30-Pro-Bluetooth-Gamepad-Black/dp/B01ND166P6/ref=sr_1_4?crid=RYCSLZXPNQLS&dchild=1&keywords=8bitdo+sn30+pro+plus&qid=1600700713&sprefix=8bitdo%2Caps%2C395&sr=8-4 Get an 8Bitdo for a third controller. Only controller I use for 2D games, and it still works fine for 3D games. Only real downside is you can't wakeup the Switch with it like you can with the Pro. Quote
