I think I speak for everyone here when I say those scenes make us ROCK HARD/MOIST.

Why? That kid didn't deserve what he got.

Wyatt was too good for that world. But I did want to kick him for siding with Darlene.

This is where I'm at. "He made the decision!" My friends say. Uh... He's a groomed high school dropout with a gentle demeanor and eagerness to help people. That is in no way his fault.

I caught up on season 4 this week. I wish the Darlene/Wyatt storyline had lasted just a little longer, so we could have the scene where Social Services comes and says “We’re here to take your baby… What’s that? You just had a shotgun wedding to a teenager? Nevermind, this is definitely a household fit for this baby. Sorry to bother you.”

Oh, the rest is up? Yes, I’ll knock this out and then watch episode 2 and 3 of Better Call Saul S6. Exciting and sad that two of my favorite shows are in their home stretches, but better to end on a high note and their own terms than to needlessly stretch them out.

Finished the series tonight and while I enjoyed this season and series overall, I was a little underwhlemed by the ending personally. It was fine... but underwhelming.

I REALLY want to check out the spoilers, but have to resist. I'll probably watch 2 episodes tonight, after work, and finish it sometime tomorrow. I was hoping for a massive, balls out finale. I am saddened by 'underwhelming'. 😞

That's just my opinion. Others may feel different.

4 episodes in. It’s really tense.

Spoiler

Watching Marty lose it on that asshole driver was satisfying. He’s been overdue for a rage moment.

I loved seeing Tuck again. It was cool having Rachel come back, but I really hope she doesn’t get dragged down again. :(

Gonna see if we can finish tomorrow.

Just finished. Great show overall, but

Spoiler

Ruth is the only person who I cared to make it out alive, and they took that from me in the final 10 minutes of the show.

I also thought the kinda Sopranos-ish cut at the end was a bit of a bust.

Yup. That's what I meant. Also...

Spoiler

I'm a little salty that The Byrds pretty much "get away with it" without paying any type of price. I thought at least Wendy would pay some type of price but whatever. Was really looking forward to Ruth coming out on top but essentially, the bad guys won. Including the Byrds :| Guess that makes sense in the era or Trumpism. And the Sopranos-style cut to black was lame as fuck.

Spoiler

I think what makes it a particularly tough pill to swallow is that Marty and Wendy are the *cause* of so much of the death and destruction inflicted on others.

It is particularly crushing in the case of Ruth because she was effectively out of the life. Really brutal.

Yeah, that’s what made it so heartbreaking. She wanted to go straight and make a good life for herself. After all she’d been through and lost. Just brutal.

Im sure Laura Linney is a lovely woman IRL. But she made me hate Wendy. Good acting. I just look at that face think, what a fucking cunt bitch.

End spoilers

Spoiler

The cut to black at the end was lame, but at least there isn’t any mystery involved there. We all know what happens next: he dies, the Byrds get away with it. What bugged me about that final scene was: what was Mel’s plan there? What did he hope to achieve from that encounter? He knows the Byrds are dangerous, morally bankrupt people. Breaking into their house, stealing Ben’s ashes, then dramatically waiting in the backyard to gloat and threaten them? My guy was simply begging to be shot.

I was also sad to see Ruth go out like that. I never thought she had much of a chance to get out, but I was rooting for her. Don’t love that those last 20 minutes frame it so that she is what Wendy and Marty have to sacrifice to keep their family safe.

Bummer to see Rachel brought back in just to have her life ruined again. Good luck running that money laundering casino on your own for the bosses of that guy you killed, which will haunt you forever!

I hope Sam has better luck in NC. With a van full of church folks… hard to say.

gonna echo what others have said here

The lack of comeuppance for the Byrds is disappointing end to a great series, not bad storytelling per say just disappointing from a morality point of view.

Linney was outrageously good in these last few episodes
