Introducing concepts over time and then combining them in a single level just makes every stage seem like some gimmick in excess. It's really hard to tell a story or flesh out ideas. This, though... Holy shit, they actually did it. It took until the end of their second fucking game but that's way better than the "never" I had assumed since the start. I'm so hyped for this! Only big thing that stands out it’s missing now (besides more themes ofc) is the Tanooki suit, but that can kind of be covered by the squirrel suit. Nintendo says this is the final major update, but I wonder if that leaves open the doors for minor updates like a power up or enemy here and there.
