I think they replenish but doesn't seem to have a fixed duration. I accidentially rolled one ball into the river. Then I rolled the other one so big it exploded and then one more came back, but I went into someone's house and it disappeared and then waited and no more came back. I made a snowman with my secondary character yesterday, today when I load that character the snowman is gone and fresh snowballs are back and I could have made a new one, but I didn't, because I want to get the DIY on my main character, but when I load my main character there are no snowballs and the damn snowman my other character made yesterday is still there?!?! Tell me Nintendo didn't make it so not only can only one account resident living on the island can make a snowman a day but that is also has to be the same damn resident?!?!
