Hmm I can give that a try. It’s definitely worked for me without doing that but maybe that’ll iron out the wrinkles. 
 

I also feel like I trigger motion gestures on the PS5 when I’m walking up to a site of grace and want to rest / touch it something like 15% of the time. I should turn those off.

God i hate motion gestures. I have the same problem with crits sometimes. Usually they go off great, but then....

Yeah for backstabs, especially sneak attacks, you can literally rub up against the guy pushing forward and they won't notice you. So if you really want to secure that attack make sure you're rubbing up against their ass and attack.

I was just thinking, this is by far the best souls game, and the easiest. Bloodborne was so much harder. Always buying and farming blood vials, constantly running guantlets, a lot of which you had to fight to get by. Orphan of Kos, Eriatus being borderline broken and almost impossible on a regular ps4. Gascoine. Vicar Amelia kicked my ass for at least 2 weeks. Something about that fight almost broke me. And the Wet Nurse boss kicked my ass a lot too.

 

Also, being able to jump changed things.

Yes, but you have to find this out. Some people completely miss her. Like him I discovered the Jellyfish before the Wolves and I was like man how do I use this shit? I just happened to return to the place where you meet her and thought that was pretty cool. I know some people hate that but I enjoyed it.

Also, hunt bell bearings. Wherever you can find one, except by killing npc's, get them. They make the late game so much easier.

 

They are all over, look then up if you have to. There's a lot of them. The twin maiden husks are your forever merchant at the roundtable. 

 

I'm having so much fun being able to level as many weapons as I want to +24/+9, I have at least a dozen +8 weapons, and 3 +9. And a bunch +24 greatswords and Katanas. Basically anything Str/dex. 

 

Im at the point now where I just try stuff, because honestly I don't care about losing souls right now. I beat a bunch of bosses. Im level 128. I took down the Commander, I went through a bunch of catacombs and found the final bells I needed. I killed Placidux, a stonedigger troll I missed in Atlus Plateau, some dragons, and everything except the final boss fight, which I can do tomorrow. 

 

I did not beat Malenia yet. I plan to try her tomorrow before I beat the game. Then I plan on exploring the stuff I know I missed. Like secrets in Morgotts castle. I have to go back and get one of the dumb sorcerer burger king helmets (cant use it, but I like it), that should be absurdly easy. Also need an academy key for thops. I fell off the beam before I got to it my first playthrough, and never went back. 

 

Also, im sure I missed stuff in volcano manor. And Moghwhyn palace.

Also, speaking of critical hits. One thing I liked about the Demon's Souls remake from Bluepoint is that they put unique crit animations with every weapon. While it is cool to see a club burst through a guy's chest, it's cooler when there is something unique to that weapon that happens. It would have been cool to see From implement something like that.

Man I can’t believe how huge this game is, at like 95 hours now and still only three great runes. I think I’ve probably done a lot of side content, mostly because I don’t know when I’m doing side content or not. I’m not talking to people much or following too many quest lines unless they are really in my face, probably have some I could finish just fast traveling around to all the npcs. 

 

Got what I needed for the wolf guy quest line and I guess i did what I had to for that for now. At a new place but I kinda just stumbled here and I’m not sure if it’s the right way or not to push towards the fourth great ruin yet.

 

I have a feeling the back half must move faster towards the last couple great runes and the finish. Currently at level 107, never thought I’d get this far in lol.

I didn’t think that was a spoiler since it’s in the game description but yeah I figured rune wise I’m about half way but also thinking maybe like 50 hours of content left, I can’t imagine having another 95 in me.

This thing is pretty great if you're rocking high INT. I really like the moveset so immediately upgraded it as high as possible and damn, it's good. 

I got that yesterday as well! It's of no use to me  but it's very nice.

Yeah. Once upgraded it scales to a B for INT and a C in DEX I think now. Perfect. And it's really quick and light feeling with an R2 that actually deals additional magic damage without consuming FP. I also have the INT Up talisman equipped.

My Lion Greatbow +9 (Radahn's bow, I used a mausoleum to get both weapons) is absolutely incredible. 

My Attack Power with it is 687, and it knocks enemies back when shot from stealth. It one shots most trash mobs, its distance is incredible. And if you use bow talismans it's even more powerful. When im exploring, I can kill enemies long before they become a problem. 

 

And the Radahn Great Arrows are incredible! You buy them from the rememberance woman.

Yes. Be aware it's stamina intensive and I feel it probably works better with smaller weapons. (Straight swords, katana, thrusting swords etc)

Ya, its great with katana. Blood of Whatever it is Katana (forget the exact name) and Serpentbone Katana's together can put some insane status effects on flesh and blood bosses. I don't even have that much dex (43 with talisman buffs), and it absolutely destroys when ive used it. Though I haven't used it on anything really hard, I have my regular build for that.

I think I've made a breakthrough in terms of skill and am on a winning streak in PVP. I still get pwned by magic users though.

Ran into a dude yesterday that just ran away from me and used quick step while bombarding me. I dont even think a bow would be a good counter because arrows don't seek like magic does.
