I hope this isn’t really 30fps like the footage has been or at least that it will be 60fps on Switch 2 for the future. It’s one of the best games of all time and the original was 60fps, the remake deserves to be.

Is it seriously gonna be running at 30 FPS? After the original 20 years ago was running at 60? The trailers have a 60 FPS option, but that footage ain't 60!

Oh lord herrrrrrrre we go again

I guess I'm the only person on here that is ok with 30fps. My eyes aren't trained to see anything better so it's never a big deal.

It’s not the greatest and yeah I’d like 60 a lot better but every Nintendo game that comes out @Xbob42 acts so goddamn surprised and disappointed. Bro it’s like this with every Nintendo game lol

Did you miss the part where the original ran at 60? lol

Remake downgrade for no reason. That's the Nintendo way!

Also wait, "here we go again?" When was the last time I cared about a console game being 30?

I won't bother me tremendously but the gamecube ran at 60 fps. That's a console from 3 generations ago!!!

From what I've read they're just choosing to prioritize visuals. As long as it's smooth and the timing based attacks are adjusted appropriately I think it'll be fine.

Nintendo's Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake has added lines confirming villain-turned-companion character Viv…

I had no idea about this being removed back in 2004 for the original release, nice to see it restored here, especially given the message they were trying to teach with the original translation in context within the game. Hopefully all those people online who were raging over censorship of Stellar Blade stuff (which should be uncensored as well!) get similarly happy this was restored (I'm betting not).

Just downloaded this from DF Patreon and watched on the ipad while doing my elliptical so it should look just about how it will on the oled switch and man it’s more gorgeous than I thought. You don’t get the same idea from looking at shots on your phone as when he does that slide over. It’s a full damn remake that looks fantastic by any standards and especially for such old hardware.

Im glad they went all out on the graphics and made it 30fps now. A 60fps version means all of this work gets cut back and never see it. A 30fps version means you can run it looking like this at 60fps as soon as now if you want to emulate or very likely on Switch 2 at some point. They might go back and unlock the fps since it takes like two seconds to do that, they were never going to go back in again and add ssao and ssr and shit.

I've heard nothing but amazing things about this game basically since it was released.  I never had a Gamecube and this is one I've always wanted to play from that era.  Excited to get it when my budget allows, it looks and sounds amazing based on what I've seen.
