From what I am hearing, there is a legitimate chance that it was Dems own fault for stupid ballot design.

Yeah, basically:

1) Nelson was hoping there was a machine error and machines didn't pick up the undervotes (aka: the thought was that people filled in the Senate race but the machines didn't catch them).

2) The recount going by so quickly indicates that not many changes needed to be done and people intentionally or unintentionally (bad ballot design) skipped the Senate race.

At Least 123 Women Will Be In The Next Congress. Just 19 Are Republicans.

Quote

Regardless, the 116th Congress will feature the largest class of female legislators ever. But there’s a sharp divide across party lines in this historic first. Of the 113 projected women winners, 98 are Democrats, and 15 are Republicans. (They will be joining 10 female senators who weren’t up for election this year: six Democrats and four Republicans.) It’s a sober reminder that this standout year for women is mostly a standout year for Democratic women.

But this is not necessarily a new trend. According to data from the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University, the Democratic Party has historically elected more women to Congress than the GOP has. Even though at least 123 women will make up the 116th Congress, only 19 — or 15 percent — will be Republicans.

Stacey Abrams launches Fair Fight Georgia and filing lawsuits over the "gross mismanagement" of Georgia's election.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/stacey-abrams-speaks-to-supporters-as-she-mulls-calling-for-another-gubernatorial-election-live-stream/

Stacey Abrams, the Democratic gubernatorial candidate for governor in Georgia, addressed supporters after she earlier mulled bringing a legal challenge that could allow a judge to decide whether to force a second round of voting in the closely contested race. She said that while she was not conceding, she would no longer pursue victory in the race.

"This speech is not a concession," Abrams said, but she added that the "law offers no possible remedy."

"Georgia still has a decision to make about who we will be in the next election," she said.  She added that while many of her critics would criticize her for recapping the wrongs she believed were done during the election, Abrams said, "stoicism is a luxury, and silence is a weapon."

"I will not concede because the erosion of democracy is not right," she added.

Georgia law dictates a race must go to a runoff if neither candidate gets over 50 percent. Republican Brian Kemp currently leads with 50.2 percent. Abrams would be challenging the election results under an election law provision which calls for another vote if there is "misconduct, fraud or irregularities" which would create doubts about the result.

Abrams has called Kemp, the former Georgia secretary of state, the "architect of voter suppression" in the state. During Kemp's tenure, 1.5 million voters were purged from the rolls.

"Make no mistake, the former secretary of state was deliberate and intentional in his actions," Abrams said in her speech.

That's a start

Some of that is off. DeSantis has an X, and he's no longer in Congress, but he's going to be governor of Florida. Paul Ryan has an X and he's stepping down, but I don't think it's because he was afraid he's get voted out based off his health care vote.

Hope someone can do one more representative of literally getting voted out because you can still make a good point based off the numbers.

EDIT: Example being this --

Stacey Abrams says "democracy failed" in Georgia. When asked if Kemp is the legitimate governor of Georgia, she says he's the "legal governor." She says she plans to be a private citizen for the next year but does plan to run for office again, not sure for when or what.

Fair Fight Georgia is the group she's formed to combat voter suppression.

I guess this is the time I have to remind people that the areas most susceptible in low areas are Democratic areas in South Florida who, by high percentages, don't vote for anti-Environment Republicans.

The blue areas of South Florida get it the worst, but it's not just their problem.

That's where millions live; those other coastal areas are not as populated. Many of the conservative voters are inland.

Ex: Eastern Palm Beach County is more populated and more Democratic than western Palm Beach County.

"Republican Florida voters" are not exactly the only ones who suffer. The state had 4 million people who voted for Gillum and Nelson. There's a reason Florida has been a battleground state while the rest of the deep south continuously votes Republican.
