  1. This is a “Yoshi-ass Yoshi” game alright. Simple but fun. And while that is not necessarily a bad thing...it’s a far cry from the pure action-platforming brilliance of the SNES’s Yoshi’s Island.
  2. Maybe...but Joker is also in Persona Q 2, a Nintendo exclusive. But whatever. I totally believe these internet rumors. No doubt they are 100% true!
  3. Same for me. I respect that people enjoy the game so much, but I can’t ever seem to be compelled enough to actually finish it.
  4. I’ve considered it, because I’ve heard it’s actually a solid fighting game. Haven’t taken the plunge yet though.
  5. I’m genuinely enjoying this conversation so far. Mostly the last couple of responses. But please do try to keep it civil, y’all. On topic, I’ve never had a bad experience when actively buying a game. Way back in the day, Street Fighter II hit the SNES. After saving up my money, my mom took me to the mall to get it. I bought the game, no problem, but my sisters were hungry so we stopped in the food court before leaving. I didn’t want to sit around, so I asked if I could go in the arcade which was connected to the food court. I left all my stuff there with my family and played some games. They actually came to get me after a few minutes, and I asked for my Street Fighter II I had just bought. My mom said “You didn’t bring it with you? Must be back at the table, then!” A rush of fear and panic washed over me as I darted over to the food court where they were to find...nothing. Table was cleared, chairs were put back and nothing sitting on them or under. Apparently my game was gone. Some lucky S.O.B. just happened upon an unguarded, brand-new, $70+ copy of Street Fighter II. I was devastated. I slinked back to my family, and kind of gave a half-hearted shrug. The game was gone. Whoever took it was undoubtedly long gone, and definitely NOT gonna give it to the mall’s Lost and Found (assuming they even had one of those) I just wanted to go home. Suddenly, my mom shoves the game into my arms. Astonished and confused, I look up to her, and she says; “Always look after your things. Don’t assume anyone else will for you.” ...... It was a hard lesson to learn. But I learned it hard that day, lol.
  6. Happy 8th birthday, Nintendo 3DS. What a run it had!
  7. Gimme that smaller, more portable version! I rarely, if ever use the dock. No need for that, but if a cheaper, smaller version comes out that I can easily slide into my jacket pocket or something? Shut up and take my money.
  8. Yeah, agreed. I have both the arcade and NES versions of Contra on DS/3DS, and I much prefer the NES version. Not that the arcade game isn't fun, but like you said; it's cheap.
  9. I'm hoping that both Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth and Contra ReBirth will be included in their respective collections. It would be a shame if those games remain forever and always locked in the realm of WiiWare.
  10. Super stoked they included Castlevania II: Belmont’s Revenge in this initial collection. It is an often overlooked game, but it is one of my favorites in the franchise. Don’t pass up playing it! Even in 4K!
  11. Yeah, arena fighters are kinda “meh” compared to more visceral 2D ones. But, it has all those recognizable manga/anime characters. It’s gonna sell.
  12. It would never happen, but I’d love a surprise announcement of the revival of Legend of Raven coming to Switch. We got hosed a few years ago (last gen?) when it was announced for 3DS and then Vita...but never came out on either platform.
  13. It’s about the same as the n3DS, but with a lighter top for obvious reasons. It’s good. Hey oh. TMI, lulz!
  14. @chakoo I would tend to agree. Back when I used the XL unit, it felt extra top-heavy and awkward to use. Still fine overall, but nowhere near as comfy and the OG model or the n3DS. Handheld systems need a good balance between having large enough screens but not too heavy/awkward so it can be used for extended periods of time. I feel the OG 3DS, the n3DS, and the Vita all handled pretty well this past gen.
  15. Both of those games are really great, and I'd say they are worth their $40 price tag. 3DS games thankfully don't cost as much as console games do, but still give you a ton of great stuff to play. It's a bargain!
