I guess it’s kind of a toy, since you can play video games with it...though mostly what I’ve seen people do with them is display them as figurines. Of course, that’s just my anecdotal evidence. But these more recent amiibo are actually pretty cool looking and have more detail than the original run, and for collectors and statue/figure fans, it’s worth the $$$. YMMV, of course. And to be fair, these re-releases of “old ass games” aren’t typically just putting everything in HD or whatever. Pretty much each “re-release” (specifically Zelda games) have had added content, gameplay tweaks, new dungeons, modes, and features. And not for nothing, but the fact that they had to completely remake the controls so it would work with a standard controller? That alone makes this not a copy/paste situation. Wouldn’t be surprised if there was even more new content in the game that hasn’t been announced/revealed yet. That said? I’d be all for Nintendo selling me this game for a cool $20 and calling it good. Can we make that happen?!?

I buy any and all amiibo regardless, so I’m in for this regardless. But this isn’t exactly a great look. Mostly I’m curious why this amiibo is so much more expensive than others.

So is Grand Theft Auto V the last game Rockstar is making in the main series? Not counting the mobile game? They’ve ported this to everything under the sun at this point. Well, except for a Nintendo platform, that is. For whatever reason.

Haven't started yet, but I would assume one should start with The Missing Heir since that is the first game in the series.

I have a MacBook Pro from like...2017 or so, I think. The most powerful console in my house is the PS5. So...I dunno, honestly. Probably the PlayStation? Whatever. *goes back to playing Game Boy*

For Bravely Default II, from what I can tell, if you liked the first game you'll dig this one. That about as far as my impressions go so far - I'll admit I haven't put much time into it! The name thing was because apparently the Japanese audience didn't take too well to Bravely Second, so the director decided to just call the Switch game "II" to help separate it from the second 3DS game. But yeah, that might not help it from confusing people, haha. As for Bayonetta 2, I've found most action games play perfectly fine on the Lite. Keep in mind I mostly play handhelds "only" so I'm pretty used to using handheld controls and not something like a Pro Controller or Dual Sense or whatever. YMMV. If you're on the fence about Octopath Traveler, I'm pretty sure there is a demo on the eShop you can try for free. You can make your own call from there. OH! If the demo for Triangle Strategy is still up (can't remember if it was a limited time preview demo or not) download that as well. It's kinda like Final Fantasy Tactics, but cranked to 11.

Ah, gotcha. Well, he's running the show, so he can choose whatever game he wants! Come to think of it, I think Mortal Kombat X is the only game in the franchise I haven't played. Don't tell Max!

Weird to bring back this game, since MK11 exists. Bringing back Killer Instinct and Marvel vs Capcom 3 makes sense since neither has superior sequels. But this? Huh, strange.

Nice! I’ve only played the first game (on the Wii’s Virtual Console) and never completed it. I’ll snag this for sure and finally play the sequel, too!
