I unfriended so many people during COVID. I used Facebook around 5-10 minutes a month now. Fuck Facebook. I wish I could just quit it forever, but for various reasons I have to maintain an account.

Players guides bring back a lot of nostalgia... that and gaming mags of old. It might be fun to play this sort of game again with a players guide like the good old days... Although, I usually made myself not look at anything until my second time through the game.

I also hate Wii Sports... like a lot. Fuck that game. But you cannot deny it's massive cultural impact. It 100% deserves a spot in something like this.

I'll throw my hat in the Turning Red ring as well. Really liked that one. Big hit in my house. I thought Soul was fine, but it just didn't really connect with me. I can't even remember why at this point, it didn't leave much of an impression. I remember that I felt like the storytelling felt sloppy and weird and that it felt like a movie that had been re-written like 3 times. I disliked Luca. It's not the worst movie ever, but I expect a lot more from Pixar. Onward was pretty safe and forgettable and formulaic. It was okay. Have not seen Lightyear. It looks kinda blah and word of mouth hasn't motivated me to make time for it.

It's almost like Logan has even more of a stranglehold over everyone after his death.

Should I watch this? The trailer didn't do much for me... but it seems like people dig it a lot...

Shockingly, Fox News isn't even featuring this story at all. Probably because this man killed other immigrants, which makes him a hero of the right, who seem to fantasize endlessly about slaughtering people trying to cross the border.

I agree that the entire political and media system is basically a giant distraction machine designed to keep us focused on the things that are not actually that important. And that at the end of the day both parties are basically content to just grind away accomplishing nothing in order to keep the military industrial complex and mega corporations happy and out of the spotlight. I strongly disagree that he will be any help in this regard because there is actually no better example of this bad faith bullshit then Tucker Carlson himself, who is the face of this completely dysfunctional system. Tucker Carlson is the physical manifestation of everything wrong with politics in this country.

Man, we used to watch his show all the time. Primo trash TV. I knew a guy who was on this show once. He dressed up as Marylin Monroe and had wind shot up his dress for something they were doing. They acted like he was a random audience member, but he was a plant. They went and found him from a local acting troop.

What's funny is that there is this like 45 second block in the middle of his rant that is mostly spot on and super insightful, but he lacks the self reflection to see that he himself is as guilty of playing that game as literally anyone in the history of mankind. He's literally describing exactly what he does night in and night out. ...or maybe he doesn't lack the self reflection, but this is always just been a game he's playing, which is actually probably what is happening. I think Tucker is actually super smart and has just mastered the art of telling his audience exactly what they want to hear.

Apparently they have over a million dollars in sales in like 2 weeks. I wonder if I'm in the wrong business. Right Wing Grifter seems like a much more lucrative opportunity. Plus, every penny some stupid dumb hate filled loser gives you, is one less penny they have to give to someone else. It would be a win-win.

Coming soon huh... I'm so behind and lost at this point, I think my plan is to rewatch the entire run in preparation for the movie. Is there any news out there about when exactly we might expect the movie to come out? It sounds like the movie is basically done, which means it's probably coming out soonish... like in the next few months?
