My 10 year old son likes young Sheldon and he had the cringiest, lamest cameo ever on that show. There was an episode where Young Sheldon was trying to prove some NASA scientist wrong or something, and Sheldon had this notebook full of rocket launch formulas that went missing or something, I can't remember... anyway, at the very end, they cut to this scene of a Space X launch news report... and then pan out to show Elon Musk watching it with a smug look on his face, and he's holding the notebook and he pats it and puts it in a safe or some shit... the idea being that all his incredible genius rocket ideas came from Young Sheldon 20 years ago or whatever... On one hand it's him being humble saying he didn't come up with that shit, but really it's just him yelling to the world, look at me, I'm a rocket genius! Look at me! It made me want to throw my TV out the window and then burn down my house and then nuke the entire planet.

I've tried many times to have reasonable discussions with these people, it really is impossible. You can't use facts or data, because they can and will just make shit up. No numbers are real, everything is made up, everything is manipulation, everything is some sort of trick or conspiracy... There can be 10,000 medical experts that say that A is true, and one that says B is true... and the one that that says B is true is the only one they pay attention to. We're over here trying our best to do what's right to keep everyone as safe as possible and they are off in the corner selfishly thumbing their nose at the death and sickness all around them like giant fucking diaper babies... because they are incapable of thinking of anyone else but themselves... doing anything at all is dumb and pointless if it doesn't directly and immediately benefit them... It's just tiresome. We live in a society that involves a great deal of trust in your fellow man to simply exist. We all have our lanes. If you don't trust the world to that extent, just go live on a remote off-the-grid farm somewhere, I don't know what to tell you.

RFK Jr. is like a 50% less fucked up Hunter Biden 20 years in the future who figured out he can get lots of attention by spreading vaccine misinformation that results in real people really dying. Another super rich and connected nepo-baby bullshit artist with real blood on his hands. Fuck this guy. I have no time for anti-vaxxers.

Movies Oompa, Loompa, doom-pa-dee-dee, you'll get a prequel in 2023

If they really wanted to be true to the source material they would go back to the original version of the Oompa Loompas... The Oompa Loompas Were African Slaves In The 1964 Book GROOVYHISTORY.COM The Oompa Loompas from the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, which starred Gene Wilder, bring back fond memories for many of us But author Roald Dahl's original concept for them -- as African tribespeople imported to work in a London factory-- wasn't ready for the big screen, or any screen at all. -
General Gaming Playdate - A new tiny handheld system coming next year for $149

Doesn't this thing have a pretty active and robust indie game community supporting it now? It's also up to $199 and still backordered for like 6 months... -
I bought two pairs of athletic shorts for $10 bucks.

HOT TAKE! Prime Day is lame and sucks. There, I said it.

I wonder if studios will try to manufacture buzz by doubling down on release dates like this in the future... Book your tickets to your Saw 12 / Bluey's Big Adventure double feature today! This kinda reminds me of when a bunch of teenagers were all going to that Minions movie wearing suits. My dad took my younger one to this movie and was very confused because half the theater was filled with 17 year olds wearing suits and yelling at the screen. I think eventually theaters started banning anyone in suits.

Hunter Biden has been hanging out at the White House
ort replied to mclumber1's topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
It took 'em a while to really hit it hard, but they are now. I guess it's a slow news week and/or Trump said something really dumb and they are trying to distract... I like how it's now this big scandal, but the Biden's weren't even there and it's in a part of the White House where hundreds of people work and can see thousands of visitors every day. -
Consumer Technology Threads launches tomorrow.

If this was from literally any other tech company I would be all over this... -
It's also interesting how weird it is to hear non-stop usage of the word "gay" as a negative and the constant use of "retard". Not to mention how they handle trans characters. ...and I haven't even gotten to all the pedophelia jokes with Sgt. Hatred yet... I personally am not offended, just noting that you could never get away with that today... and this show isn't really that old.

The problem is I keep taking breaks... I watch in spurts... It's funny, because I haven't watched these in so long, but at the same time, I've seen them so many times in the past, that it really doesn't feel fresh... I think if I had just found this show for the first time I would be more motivated, but I legit have seen all of these episodes like 4 or 5 times... just you know, 20 years ago...
