  1. same, I’m about 6 hours in. Just finished exploring the first big area you get to. Def very chill and laid back. Which is in actuality extremely stressful since I keep waiting for whatever moment kicks off the intense brutality lol
  2. Ended up getting my son the game and he’s loving it! He really isn’t sure what he’s doing but he’s enjoying it a lot despite all the reading and text. He’d love to visit some other people islands if anyone is open to that.
  3. If the official Next Gen version is going to be a robust update to the game then I’d rather wait and play the uodated version
  4. Just got to the part where Such a beautiful and tender moment made all the more so by knowing the brutality that is inevitably coming.
  5. How accessible is this game for a 6 year old whose just in the beginning stages of gaming? He’s been playing iPad games for a few years but just no starting to get into console gaming. Loves Golden Axe, Sonic, Sonic Spinball on my Genesis Mini and we just played and beat Streets of Rage 4 together.
  6. When you get to the giraffe that’s when I felt I just couldn’t go on any more and just wanted to live with the giraffe haha. That’s not really spoiling anything but when you get there you’ll know what I mean.
  7. I don’t mind. My back log is so big i doubt I go back to it before 8 so I’ll just end up YouTubing 7’s story haha
  8. Mia makes it through 7? Guess I should have kept playing. I stopped a few hours after you “killed” her
  9. LG B7 55” in my living room has my switch and PS4 hooked up to it. TCL 55” in the basement has my Xbox One hooked up to it
  10. I love how every new console generation people forget that there are never very many games in the first 6 months. Yet they still manage to get themselves all riled every time lol. I love the look of the console. I’m over the generic black boxes just designed to look like your cable box. Give me something new and interesting to look at. Plus I’m a sucker for accent lights.
  11. Really? I’d love a good pirate show but I always assumed it was kinda low budget and not great. No idea why I thought that though haha
  12. If you just want a show that’s focused on a singular character but the setting doesn’t matter then try Altered Carbon. Not nearly on TLK level but it’s a really fun show in a cool setting and it might be the prettiest show I’ve ever seen in 4k
  13. I don’t really agree with this. Games are praised across all levels of of the artistic spectrum. Ori and Journey are both praised as highly as TLOU and all 3 couldn’t be or look more different from each other. All of them are examples of some of the highest levels that video games to reach. And to answer the question about violence vs fun. Absolutely you can pull that off and still carry the full weight of the message. Look at a book like American Psycho. One of the most violent and upsetting things I’ve ever read. But at the same time very entertaining and funny at times while never compromising any of its themes of messages.
  14. Really? I understood that making Manhattan the universal threat technically still kept the story true to the original theme. But for some reason, and it’s been so long since I’ve watched it I really can’t remember why I thought this, I thought it didn’t make as much sense as the original alien ending.
