I tend to not like to buy stuff that I'm not going to play right away. If I don't buy a wishlist item that's on a huge sale, it's because I'm in the middle of another game I want to finish and I tell myself that I don't need it right now/I'll get it after I'm done with $current_game.

OK so I started playing this, based on this thread. It's a neat game, but I'm not sure I'm going to continue with it. It's hard to put my finger on but there's something that just doesn't feel satisfying. Wins don't feel good and losses don't feel bad. Like, the meta is too narrow; I see the same 5'ish decks all the time with only rare deviations. And the games have started to feel less strategic and more trump-cardy. There's little room for counter play. When I first started I felt like I saw a lot more variance in decks and strategies. Now I feel like I'm playing the same match over and over. I can't remember the last match I saw something new or cool, even if it didn't work. To be fair, I'm only at like 1k collection level so maybe it opens back up at higher levels when more cards unlock, but it just feels very closed off where I am. tldr; neat game, but meta seems pretty closed which has led to boredom.

I'll be honest I never noticed those. They might be awesome. I've never checked out threads feature on any discord server. I figured that's what the boards were for.

The gaming channel is useful. The sports channel is good. The rest of it is...just no bueno.

It's good to see how long D1P has lasted. It's one of the rare remaining forums where you feel like part of a (weird) community rather than just a small voice in the noise. I stopped using the discord for much of anything because it seemed like much of it became awkward drama and inside jokes that I wasn't in on. I should make more of an effort.
