  1. A mini 64 would definitely be the first of these classic consoles I'd buy. You could emulate N64, but it ain't the same if you're not using that controller.
  2. Anyone else having problems with matchmaking? Gambit and crucible matches get stuck at 7/8 or 11/12 and sit there for minutes. Last night I was in matchmaking for longer than one of my matches cause we got mercied by a six-stack so fast. Dudes were already using the Luna howl gun from that crazy competitive questline
  3. I love the PS1, got some solid nostalgia for it, but this Gen of games did not age well. Doubt it will have gran turismo - the music licensing will probably kill that.
  4. Why is double dragon a launch title, then in October it releases again with (sp) in the title?
  5. This looks really awesome. However great the trailer was, the part that grabbed me was that her -> a hero font transition - it was so simple and good, why hasn't that been done before? Well, probably know the answer to that, but man what a cool design.
  6. What's everyone's power levels like? We raid ready yet for the first encounter? Enemies are 560, so aiming for like 540+ or 535 at the least. I started playing my warlock this weekend just so I could get more gambit bounties.
  7. There's no reason to use Golden gun over the blades in pve. The blades out-damage celestial nighthawk on a single target, and you don't even have to aim them. In crucible maybe the guns have the advantage, but the blades still can get multikills or shutdown enemy supers. I love the new super, but it totally made the other two irrelevant.
  8. That's a good intro sheet. Yeah, it's different this week, there's a triumph for completing "all six" ascendant challenges. This week:
  9. Finally played the new prison of elders strike. Incredible. Raises the bar for strikes going forward, that's for sure. Great battles, a bunch of nostalgia, and a sparrow section, too!
  10. Got my first forsaken exotic. It dropped from a red bar dreg in the infinite forest strike, and it's a hunter chest that let's you dodge twice. Guess they can't all be winners
  11. The game has been out one week. You haven't even beat the campaign yet - it's a little unrealistic to be expecting all this crazy gear to be raining down on you when you haven't even gotten to the end-game area yet. Once you've finished the campaign you'll also get a bunch of bounties for powerful rewards. Until you finish the last couple missions you can expect to see nothing but blue armor and guns at 500 light.
  12. I'm no mathemagician or anything, but doing the cheese would get you a smaller, instant boost, while getting them spaced out with regular rewards would be bigger light rewards over time - this is assuming all 20 engrams you could possibly farm would all be dropping at the exact same light level, while if you collected them naturally, each engram would boost the light level of the next one you receive naturally. Rewards, exotics, engrams - everything is rolled when they drop, not when you redeem it.
  13. I'm glad they're looking at the gambit matchmaking - it's weird as it is now. Couple times I've been caught in infinite loads and had to quit out, and while I never got a suspension, I did get the warning screen a bunch. Sounds like there's a hard cap in how many prime engrams you can earn over a month (yay more hidden caps ) and abusing the glitch counts against it.
  14. I wonder how they'll address sleeper. I think they should leave it alone for now, see what evolves. People might starting trying out other exotics. I don't use it, I use a regular linear fusion which requires a headshot to one hit people while sleeper can one hit on a body shot, but I don't want the whole class nerfed, especially if those changes carry into other PvE modes. As for the time requirements of a post-grind destiny, I think this week seemed like there was way more to do because of the accidental full reset. Once all the secrets have been discovered and the reset falls into schedule it'll be the same ol destiny. D1 had daily challenge stuff as well, and over time you just ignored them or only did the ones you enjoyed. We're all trying to do everything right now to try and power up.
  15. Totally. It's overwhelming. Have you started the broadsword quest yet? I'm like 20% on the pulse rifle kills, so I looked up the rest of the steps, and oh my God I forgot how long they made this quest. It's like a year's worth of grinding lol Edit: that prime engram glitch is hilarious and why we can't have nice things. But it'll make up for all our powerful engrams being not powerful this week.
  16. That fallen dive bar lost sector - all the music in it was from the jukebox in the Destiny 1 tower bar. Guess the fallen have been poking around in the wreckage.
  17. I've watched the first few episodes, the fighting is so much improved from the first season, it's like night and day. Finn Jones must have been in martial arts training for the entire break since last season, cause it doesn't look like he's in slow motion anymore, and they've reduced the number of camera cuts per punch from ten down to one or two! Seriously though, way better. Story wise it seems less interesting so far without the hand, but you can't have it all I guess. Could just be a slow start.
  18. This! It was Civilization but streamlined in all the best ways.
  19. Just pull a new one from the collections. Costs glimmer and a couple shards, drops at your light level. Crimson is pretty great for gambit in general. The healing and auto reload really fit the horde fights.
  20. The disappointment lies in the fact xur brought Year 1 gear, no new stuff. I haven't visited xur in months. Simple. Aim for the head People are very excited to invade. When the screen goes red and someone invades I stop what I'm doing and hunt them. They're usually going in gung-ho thinking we're going to be focused on adds and caught by surprise. They don't expect you to be the aggressor. I'd hit them with an arc bolt grenade, crimson does the rest. After a few matches you also get a feel for guessing where on the map they're going to teleport. If the bulk of your team is in one area, you can be sure they're on the other side of the map. Go get em. By the way, I've changed my tune on gambit. Loving it. You still get crushed with a bad team, but at least those rounds are over quick.
  21. We ran calus last night and the drops were less than stellar if that's what you're after. Xur is in the tower by dead orbit and he's chock full of disappointment. Prometheus lens, nezaric sin helmet, ahamkara gloves, ashen wake gloves.
  22. @HardAct Finish the campaign first, then your goal is to hit 500 light, then you start reliably getting legendaries (purple) that will be the bulk of your arsenal. Exotics come from luck and quests. Any mission or mode that says it rewards a "powerful engram" has a chance of being an exotic (I think). There are quests out there to get more exotics - for example, there should be a blue flag mission in the EDZ that will get you a familiar exotic. There's another on nessus. Mars has a few exotic missions if you start the quests Ana Bray has for you. Oh, and every Friday xur shows up somewhere in the world and sells exotics. So keep an eye out tomorrow.
