I haven't seen any console comparisons on 2.0, for v1.6 the comparison I saw had the XSX version running at a slightly higher resolution -- but it was VERY close. In the end, I think they are very comparable.

That's pretty consistent with what they said before release -- the Digital Foundry interview with CDPR/Nvidia suggested this performance gain came mostly from eliminating the previous ray tracing denoiser. The original purpose of the Ray Reconstruction was imagine improvement, rather than performance gains. Great video if you haven't watched it.

Yes. The article also said that when he replaced the liquid metal with thermal paste, it didn't impact performance. (GPU temps yes, but they were still ~60 degrees with thermal paste under full load.)

Whos idea was it to rename this 'The Shower'?
AbsolutSurgen replied to Karld316's topic in The Shower
I always thought it was called The Shower because you felt dirty after reading some of the bad takes on this board. -
No doubt, but you can liquid cool it yourself for much cheaper than they are charging.
-
What you're really paying for is the binning of the GPU.

I never actually started Cyberpunk, because I wanted to experience it on a decent PC. When I was about to start it, I heard about path tracing coming to it, so waited. When path tracing came out, I heard that they were planning to revamp everything. So I waited. Tomorrow, the wait is over.

Football NFL Week 2 - The Good Karma Week
AbsolutSurgen replied to Keyser_Soze's topic in The Locker Room
He has had a season and two games -- and completely remade the team so they can be worse than when he arrived. Raiders just set an all time NFL record this week -- opposition completion percentage of 81.7% over the first two games of season. Never achieved before.- 52 replies
