    I suspect he left for a similar reasons, that caused me to stop posting in this subforum. IMHO, he was one of the most engaging posters here. He posted his opinions, and articulated reasons for his beliefs. He didn't attack people, but would criticize ideas. He learned, he grew, his positions evolved. Even though we didn't interact a whole lot (my interests and his were normally different), I will miss reading his thoughts.

    The Deck is already 1.5 years old, and has already been surpassed (by ROG Ally and others) -- and isn't really a good unit for the AAA games that are launching now (i.e. BG3, Starfield, Immortals of Avenum). It will be 2.5 years old when this new console launches. This new console had better be an improvement.

    I think a 540p DLSS to 1080p won't look particularly good on a 50" 4K TV. If you are suggesting a 540p DLSS image is is indistinguishable from a modern PS5/XSeX game (that uses FSR2)....

    Based on what we've seen so far, DLSS is very good at upscaling 1440p+/40fps+ video to 4k/60. It's not nearly as good at 1080p and below 40fps. Would this be offset by looking at it on a 4" screen? Maybe.-- On a TV? Probably not. And the power draw? This sounds like Ultra 64 level hype to me.

    I'll believe that a handheld can have PS5/XSeX comparable visuals when I see it -- even with DLSS3.5.

    IMHO, it's the combination of the great combat and great platforming that make this game so good. [It also doesn't hurt that the story is pretty good, and the production values are very high.]

    I haven't had time to get back to it, but I am having trouble with the second boss after the tutorial -- no real problems up to that point. The tutorial boss and first boss were beat on ~4th attempt. I'm pretty sure that I have to rethink my AC build (presently very tanky).
