Other sports who have had players have heart attacks in similar circumstances (Chris Pronger in the NHL Playoffs, and Christian Eriksen at Euro 2020) have had the game continue while they were sent to hospital. I completely understand the NFL not wanting to continue playing the same evening. But the day after, even if they had to play in empty stadium, seems like a no brainer.

IMHO, the NFL made a huge mistake cancelling the Bills/Bengals game. For competitive balance, it needed to be played Tuesday night (even if there was no crowd). The Chiefs have one more win than the Bills, losing out on home field advantage is a huge potential impact on the AFC Championship game. [Note: I'm a RAIDERS fan bitching about the Chiefs potentially losing out.] ============================== I don't get some of the Raiders fans pushing for Stidham to be a starter next year (I suspect they are the same ones who pushed for Mariota last year). He looked good for the first 5 drives against the 49ers, and then didn't for the next 6. This combined with how mediocre he looked in the pre-season, and EVERY OTHER TIME he stepped on an NFL field... Even if he looks good against a worse than average Chiefs defence, you just can't trust him to be your #1. And compared to the last few games -- he had Waller/Refrow playing all/most snaps and the running game was working...

I agree it was overkill. Unfortunately due to weird Canadian pricing the EVGA 1300W and 1000W were within $2 of each other -- I'll look at another brand to save some money. GTX-1070 was a $400 card in 2016. In 2023, RTX-4070 Ti is a $800 card. Normal inflation would get you to $500 max (maybe $100 more for the Ti) so $600, not $800. There is a reason RTX-4080 and RTX-4070Ti were still sitting on shelves at launch.

Saw this in IMAX/3d with the kids and inlaws. Everyone really enjoyed it. Not sure where the social media hate was coming from on this one. I know the story is a little shallow, but damn the CGI looked good. The way he built the individual family members into such distinct characters was amazing for this style of popocorn flick. I know it slowed down the pacing, but I think it worked. I'll be going to see Avatar 3 without reading reviews.

My local Canada Computers has tons of 4070Ti/4080/4090 in stock (and a couple of 7900 XTs). Given how they don't seem to be moving, I think I am going to wait another few months for the price to drop before doing my build.

The Raiders have done Carr dirty -- treating him like they are on the way out is shitty. I don't necessarily with the disagree with trying to find a better/different QB -- telling him to go home with 2 games left, without saying goodbye to his teammates or fans is low. From the Athletic: "Since drafting Carr in 2014, the #Raiders rank 19th in expected points added (EPA) on offense while ranking 32nd in combined EPA on defense and special teams." Carr isn't an elite QB, but he has been the best part of the Raiders for the last 10 years.

Biology is complex, and taxonomy is inexact. While, there are exceptions, biologists have used reproductive barriers (i.e. the inability to produce fertile offspring) as one of the key determiners whether something is a different species. That's not to say that this is the ONLY way they classify species. It was also how I learned of the concept in my Biology classes (long ago), and since I started to doubt my memory, is still in virtually every definition I can now find (whether it be from National Geographic, Merriam Webster or Wikipedia).
