I have seen maybe an episode or 2 and that’s it. Although I watched the premiere episode “Three Slaps” and fucking loved it. I can’t see how it won’t get some notice come time for Emmy nominations.

I just watched MoonKnight and just browsed my games and saw Tunic I’m pretty nicely stoned and was just loving the design for the short bit I played and will play some more soon.

I watched it pretty stoned (yeah, what’s new right) That was great and the paranoia feeling. . . right there with yeah. I can only imagine what they did with this sound with Atmos sound. Have to watch with headphones and it’s not the same as a full setup working (fuck how much longer will you take to get here receiver) Anyways I loved the voice mocking him, and the quick edits too. Love the quirky playful Guardians/Deadpool like “action” tunes. The thing I like the most is the look of the world with the wonderful cinematography, especially with the mirrors. I’m roughly 45minutes south west of Toronto, and the houses on my street are valued at roughly $435k by the city. Yet for the past couple years I have seen the houses creep up to $800k and then the past couple years (when Covid started) it’s been $1.1 to $1.3m. One of them just being 2 houses to my right and we aren’t that big. Like 3-4 bedroom/1.5-2.5 baths, but we have backyards, great location to highway, go transit, schools and shopping. Be interesting to see how things 1)cool down with Covid restrictions lifting 2)will people move back/closer to the downtown core with no work from home option 3)the housing market crash? (More when and how soon)

Funny enough that I thought I would of been all ebook by now myself. After the great word of mouth it got back in 2010 from a panel of writers at the World Horror Convention, which included Joe Hill. I loved the idea of that these short story writers wanting to do a subscription service/site which they could release their works for people to purchase/read almost instantly. I don’t think this has really happen yet either, but it was exciting enough that it made my sister and I buy a Kindle from the airport in Houston. It was cool at first but I gotta admit that I missed the textile feeling of a book in my hand. Something about holding a book just feels rights unlike staring at a screen, which I pretty much do all day anyways (like right now) So I’m back to buying/trying to read my physical copy books. I was gonna start reading Cradle to Stage from Dave Grohl’s mom, but can’t after Taylor’s death. Which I guess kinda brings me to music now, and I have pretty much stopped buying cd’s. I’m not yet a record player owners and so we’ll hopefully keep that habit demon at bay for now. I pretty much use whatever free music is offered for streaming/downloading. Will stream playlist from YouTube in my car, but would love to actually buy the 2 Acoustic CD releases from Above and Beyond. Use mainly my free prime music but hate that what was once free can be taken away just as easily. I fell in love with the last Rag ‘N Bone Man release but that keeps disappearing and sometimes briefly reappearing on my phone. Too broke at the moment to pay for Spotify or the Unlimited Prime Music and have no real desire to do so. It’s just enough new and old music here and there too keep me satisfied

Something was making my manager sick on Monday, and I went into work to cover the rest of his shift. Took a test at work and came back negative. This morning my other manager came down with what the other has and wanted me in, but I think I’m coming down with something too. My throat kinda hurts, rushing to the bathroom emergency shits (3 as I type in the past 2hrs) and my sleep has been almost non existing this week with my weed. It ain’t just me who are having this insomnia issues, but the weird thing is I’m more awake/wired with less sleep then waking up after an ok sleep. Last week I would be in bed by 12:30-1am and be fully awake ready to start my day. . . .at 3-3:30am. Sometimes I would just lay in bed and toss/turn and hope to fall asleep but don’t. Sometimes I would hit my bong again and that would overall helped me rest my eyes but only did twice because of morning shifts for work. Who know what I really have, because this is also the start of my allergy season and some of these symptoms are very close (minus the shits) to what I get with them for most of April. Might just be a bit worse because I’m walking occasionally more with no mask to filter out most of the allergens (unlike the past 2 years)

I’m still a physical media guy myself and sadly it’s more expensive 3D imports then anything getting a good chunk of my money. Sadly I missed out on a few Marvel 4K/3D Steelbooks but can still can get (for now) the marvel superhero films 4K/3D that way from Japan. (minus No Way Home, so FUCK YOU SONY!) I’ve had to import from the UK, France, Germany and now Japan. Ok they were mostly because of the very cool 4K/3D steelbooks artwork(Spiderman:Spider-Verse & Far From Home being my favs from Germany) I agree on the shrinking 4K selection and I’m seeing it disappear from Walmart and more DVD returning (wtf) I admit my movie buying is down because of a few factors (money, streaming, no working HT receiver) Still I didn’t spend a shit ton of money on my home theatre for streaming movies that still can’t match the visual quality still offered by a 4K disc. Plus some streaming services (Crave in Canada) still don’t offer a lot of 4K content or any Atmos sound. Some discs also offer DTS:X and some imports offer Auro 3D sound that, again, can’t get on a streaming service. Would love to see some streaming service for my 3D films if they are stopping the discs, but still showing in 3D theatres. It’s my movie version of blue balls

I'm right around the corner from a Gino’s Pizza. An actual pizza franchise in (at least) Ontario. Their pizza quality over the years has been up and down, but thankfully up right now. My local is under new ownership and the workers just fucking load it with toppings (bacon, Italian sausage, pepperoni and chicken being my go to toppings. It’s my pizza version of the Krusty Burger Clogger) Can we at least agree that a good creamy garlic dipping sauce is the best thing to dunk that slice into. My favourite version is the one from Pizza Pizza, so creamy and lots of garlic taste too

My uncle made a quick visit to let us know he was retiring from The Beer Store come May 20th. He was talking about how he is still wearing his mask and was confronted by a customer saying he doesn’t have to wear it. I was still holding out hope they would tour, but Foo Fighters just made it official. All upcoming concert events have been canceled. Had tickets for them in Toronto for July and had tickets back in May 2020 to see them in Hamilton. At least I got to see them in Toronto in the summer of 2018.
