Yeah I'm not sure what launch games are going to look like so it might make sense to wait for many, but whereas the current gen launch hardware left me underwhelmed for the first time since ever, this new gen looks exciting again.

I'm completely cool with any model that revolves around cosmetics. In those cases, I may pay for some cosmetics but personally end up spending far less than I would for a full priced game. Fortunately for me, it seems other people value having a lot of cosmetics... a lot

I would absolutely prefer a 5 point scale. I think auxiliary motivations, hype, etc. play far too much of a factor in people trying to differentiate on a 10 point scale. On a 5 point scale, I would give this a game a 5/5 unless it shits the bed in the third (last?) act, which seems unlikely.

I finished Act 2. Fucking shit, this game is great. I feel like it's way better than it got rated and is one of the best games of this gen. It's fucking criminal that RDR2 is one of the mostly high rated games of all time while this gem slides into the middle 8s.

Unless they fuck it up in the translation to F2P (e.g., pay to win BS) this is indeed cool. Also, credit for supporting 120fps and prioritizing performance over visual.

I agree so hard. This game on an LG OLED with HDR leaves my jaw open the whole time. And if women samurai didn't exist, who cares? As @Emperor Diocletian II has made clear they're already taking massive poetic license over historical accuracy. The world is stylish and fun.

I don't know how to pick just three I think 1. Persona 5 2. FF7 Remake must make the top three. But I'm struggling to pick a third from the following, all of which I really really like. Maybe I need to finish Ghost first to see where I stand with it. Spiderman God of War Ghost of Tsushima I also really liked TLoU2, but I think in terms of pure enjoyment it's a notch below. -

Did you get the clan armor yet? If you're going around early game in the traveler outfit, it's going to be a fair bit harder. So if you haven't gotten it yet, prioritize getting the clan armor.

Actually I don't think I would like it. Their portrayal of AI and AI development looked so laughably bad, I don't think I could get through it. If everything is tongue-in-cheek, that might be okay (I similarly don't fault comic movies for bad science because it's so clear it's just fantasy), but the trailers made it look like they were trying to be semi serious.
