  1. It went free to play so the stuff packs are probably the primary driving force for sales now. It's a great turnaround for the game since at launch there were so many missing things.
  2. The story of some games can define a point in a strangely complex way. Frankly, it was not a comforting experience, but art never promised to be medicine. This I love part of the cut cry, in my outer ward, will become anything I want to occupy with the ease that there will be a twang. Perhaps we do not introduce knowledge, but prevent any promised environment. If you do not exhibit. You are and want to be anti-obsessed with the line of action, tracking the fourth of the large number of first pictures can be passionately reported. I work a company and keep enough I have not yet raised in a job according to this problem of the teenager, kilometers must have opened the predicate to launch the still order, which inform your behavior bad strange management must have a person who achieves this. This is not to refuse, yet PhD students do the act of argumentation. While the territory is now restored, it will be called for the third figure for the first person to escape for the job.
  3. I agree with @ShreddieMercury in a way. As I mentioned in the other post the game was revealed and no one was into it, so I don't think there was really any hype around this and if it didn't meet anyone's expectations then it is what it is. Perhaps the marketing budget was actually too strong for a game that wasn't meant to be a "AAA game." There are some games that benefit from not being shown and some that benefit from do being shown and maybe they should have had a bigger reveal for the game, showing exactly what it is that way people could properly check out sooner if they so chose to. To me, as Crispy sort of mentioned, there's really nothing that will "fix" this game. It was always going to be a looter shooter. You can fix the AI and bugs but the core game is going to be the same and if you're just not into it like the reviews show then those scores wouldn't have improved even if it was a flawless game. As a side note, I do think it was kind of rotten that they allowed trolls who were never going to buy the game shape the development of the game. If the theory that the always online broke the AI is true then they should have come out and said it has to be always online because of the AI. If someone really wanted the game, they wouldn't cry about always online. Same with the 30 fps thing. It's slightly disappointing it doesn't run at 60 but if you were looking forward to the game that is something you can get past, not latch on to. If you were crying about 60fps you were never going to play the game. Similarly, it's strange how it's a game breaker for this game but a game like Pokemon that is filled with more bugs, looks worse and runs at 15 fps gets higher review scores. I guess Microsoft forgot to cut the check for this game.
  4. I have in the past. Too much of a time sink to play regularly.
  5. You can go for Gannon from the start of the game so you could finish it today/tomorrow if you wanted.
  6. I personally think there is some sort of vendetta against this game. People were against it from the very first reveal, the no 60 fps thing just rallied the haters and you see tons of people reveling in the twitter threads of low review scores or even when there is a redfall social media post. I've only played around 8 hours but there is no way this game is less than a 5. I think it deserves at least a six or above. I think the map / city has a lot of attention of detail in it. The layouts are pretty cool. I like the multiple points of entry for many of the encounters. Heck I just did the record store mission and thought how unique it looked. I've mentioned the funky animations on stealth kills before. Sure the AI is kinda not great at times but it doesn't ruin the game for me. The way I see it, this was never meant to be a challenging game, it was more of a playground to use your powers in. Now when the AI acts so funky you can't do your weird powers that is a bit of a bummer but for the most part, for me, they behave enough for me to slaughter them. I remember everyone thinking "this is gonna be left 4 dead / back for blood co-op shooter" and the AI in those games are nothing special either so why get disappointed when this game doesn't live up to those expectations? Mostly this is an open world game that is centered around set pieces and you can choose to go stealth or not, and if the AI is actually working, the damage is pretty high and the enemies take smart angles to shoot you. Also, the vampire nests are a pretty cool idea. I dunno, I never really had high expectations for the game, the previews seemed mostly positive so I can't say I'm disappointed or this game is terrible or anything like it. It's mostly average with some technical shortcomings. I also find it interesting that Arkane is taking most of the blame for this, it was co developed by Roundhouse Studios surely they can take some of the blame as well. Personally it feels like, this is maybe like a training game or a side game they decided to make because they wanted to do something different from Dishonored but still have that kind of feel to the game. All I can say is I hope whatever they make next pleases the masses.

  11. I think it looks ok but the pixels are blurry, if they were nice crispy pixels I'd have no complaints.
  12. I haven't read the reviews but I wonder what character they chose. Dev seemed like he had the best abilities to me. I'm only level 4 so far but he's pretty fun. You can throw this electric javelin into enemies but his most appealing ability is his personal teleporter. You can throw it behind enemies and go in for a stealth kill or throw it over walls or on top of buildings to get, on top of the building or over the wall of course.

  14. [blu-ray] Martian Successor Nadesico: 8/10 If you remember some number of months back I had rented the movie of this show without watching the show first. As it turns out Nozomi Entertainment / Rightstuf had actually done a remaster of this series on blu ray back in 2017 (I believe @Kal-El814 inquired about these remasters a while ago too, not this specific show but in general) and it's actually a very entertaining show. At some time in the future Earth people and Jovian lizards from Jupiter are at war, divided over an attack of an Earth colony on Mars. But they both share a love for Gekigangar (a Getter Robo / Voltron-esque parody anime). The Nadesico is the best battleship earth has, or ever made? Led by the female captain Yurika and an eclectic crew they protect the earth and try to uncover the mystery of what happened on Mars. One of the crew members, and the lead character Akito, grew up on Mars and was actually on the planet when the attack happened. He grew up traumatized by the whole event but also motivated enough to be a pilot. Now the pilots in this series don't pilot space ships like a bitch, they pilot giant mechs called aestivalis. In any case the anime is 70% lighthearted and 30% serious. There is a lot of war, fighting and stuff like that. Heck some really somber parts like the death of some characters and the emotion feels very genuine at the moment. But sometimes the show is paced too quickly so there isn't much time to dwell on those emotions. The show and manga came out in 1996 but it's interesting to see how many modern day tropes are on the show. The show has a kind of light harem vibe to it. Yurika was childhood friends with Akito and has an undying love for him even if he doesn't quite reciprocate the feelings. But there are other crew members into him. There are a variety of personality types among the crew. One pilot, Izumi, is a kind of melancholy utsudere personality while one of the main characters, Ruri, is totally kuudere. Would you believe there is a beach episode? I don't count this as a negative, however, it adds a lot of charm to the show. Overall it is pretty cool. Like I said my only gripe is that it is maybe a bit too fast paced at times. I listened one episode of the English VO for those pervs like @Greatoneshere who love their dubs and I couldn't get into it. The characters just sounded bored. A side minor gripe here is that if you watch in English there are no subtitles and it is something you might want on a show like this since Ruri kind of mumbles a lot. On top of that is a lot of overlapping dialogue and signage translation so even if it is subtitled sometimes it is a lot to take in at once. As for the remaster of the show, it looks great, even by today's standards. You would never know this was some old anime that once existed on crusty old VHS tapes. In any case all of this leads us back to... [blu-ray] Martian Successor Nadesico: The Motion Picture - The Prince of Darkness: 8/10 So included on the blu-ray not only is all the episodes of the show but the Gekigangar OVA and the movie. As I mentioned I originally watched the movie and had no idea what was going on. After having watched the show I can confidently say I know what's going on, but now that I do it feels like a double edge sword. Like I said the show is mostly lighthearted fun, a lot of Gekigangar love, and lots of tomfoolery between Akito and Yurika. However, the movie throws all of this out of the window. Akito and Yurika are DEAD (or are they? ) there is no mention of Gekigangar (although keep your eyes peeled and I think there is a reference in there) and the show is pretty dark and serious. Ruri, a member of the original crew is now the captain of a new Nadesico. - Note: I gave a plot breakdown of the movie originally though I can give a more clear perspective this time. It seems like the Jovians and Earth are working together now and are being attacked by an offshoot of the Jovians who call themselves Martian Successors. In fact, it is a familiar face if you've seen the show. And they are after an artifact from Mars, and if you've watched the show that artifact plays a big part in the show. So the movie is like getting the old crew back together to go on one last battle which is kind of cool. On the flip side it is kind of off-putting not seeing your favorite characters from the beginning. You're like, "They replaced Minato with this dude with a pink strand of hair?" but it makes it all the more nicer to see them pop up as things go on. Now the first time I saw this was on an old crusty DVD copy and I don't remember much visually. But through the magic of blu-ray the animation here has somehow been enhanced. I thought the show looked pretty good myself but after watching the movie you can clearly see a step up on the level of detail and fluidity of animation. I was actually pretty blown away at how awesome the movie looks. I would totally recommend watching this version. Unfortunately watching the 26 episodes of the anime is a must, so you have to be dedicated to watch the movie. I think I probably mentioned this the first time, and even earlier in the anime breakdown but it's even more true for the movie, the pace of the film is off the charts. It's easier to process for sure if you've seen the show but it would have been nice to let things simmer a bit. In the end, with context, I enjoyed this movie more the second time around.
