  1. I do think the shows relaying more on crossovers like the comics made them, ironically, a worse watching experience. Then COVID hit and I don't think they ever rebalanced things from there. Also I know it's broadcast TV and everything but the notion that some of these shows had several of the usual 20+ episode seasons is, in hindsight, bananas. There are just far more episodes than there have been good ideas.
  2. I saw someone on twitter say it better, but I assume that the takeaway from this for some devs is going to be, "people like zany crafting," when one of the more important lessons is that if you let work on a franchise for like... 25 years, they get to really refine and iterate on what they're doing.
  3. Shit like "based," "chad," and other words / memes in the same orbit have been adopted by online goobers and bigots to the point that if I see someone online using them and I don't know them, I can assume they're an asshole or a bigot and be right often enough that it's a good way to let people snitch on themselves. Or see... It's this.
  4. Yeah, I think since the midway point in season 3 or so it's just been cranked up with no "upside." Gene, Hank, Fuchs, Barry... all the other mains have had their moments where they get to be funny or we get a chance to see them try to realize what they perceive to be the best parts of themselves. Sally's never really had that. Sarah Goldberg is killing it, it's not about the performance at all.
  5. I waffle back and forth between that and thinking he’ll get toasted trying to get at Barry.
  6. The bit with the rocket was just great. This show really is firing on all of it's strange cylinders at this point, I just can't get over how dirty they're doing Sally.
  7. it's possible we all have never been more therock'd than we are right now
  8. It's entirely possible that too much moisture is causing the issue, which lotion / cream would only make worse. I have no insight into what your issue is but you can't just assume that dryness is the issue, as shit like toenail fungus loves a moist environment.
  9. There is simply no reason to think that being painted a loser or being embarrassed by Trump is going to stop someone from running for president again. The electorate's memory is not that long, people will not care. EDIT - I'm reminded that in a 2018 poll, more than 50% of democrats had a favorable opinion of George W. Bush. Less than 20 years after the dude started the war on terror and less than 5 years after Operation Enduring Freedom ended and it was a coin flip if DEMOCRATS thought well of the man. Nobody is going to give a fuck who Trump dunked on.
  10. I think there have been references to this and some of Nintendo's other toys in their games across the years. I think the Color TV Game has been in Smash Bros,
  11. I've played the BG remakes and while they fix bug and add new content, they feel like less of a middle ground than this does. Maybe I'm reading the vibes wrong, who knows.
  12. Absolutely none of these people have shame, being the victim of a backboard shattering dunk will not stop people from running again. See Biden getting rinsed in 1987 because of speechwriting and academic scandals, which precisely zero people cared about in the 2020 campaign and didn't stop him from running twice more between then and finally getting the W.
  13. After stuff like Dead Space, RE 2 - 4... I don't know what the point of something like this is. It's not just a re-release with AI upscaling, like @legend called out, and it's not a true remake either. If there's anyone out there who wants to play SS2 but hasn't because the game is "old," just making it a bit prettier isn't going to make the gameplay anymore accessible or modern. And for someone who's played it a bunch and likes it, it just looks low effort compered to other, recent remakes. I don't really know who this is for. But hey maybe this coming out will finally make people realize that Ken Levine has only ever really had one good idea.
  14. That helps, but it's still a drag to find new stuff, or stuff I haven't used in a while. It's not a huge problem or anything but I have to imagine there's a way to sort things better. I'm maybe 10 - 12 hours into the game, have for sure not gotten all the enemy, crafting, and Zontai drops, and there's already a ton of shit to scroll through. Lemme precook some number of arrows or something? I dunno. I think the map ability is on the wheel since - brings you to whatever part of that menu you were on last, which might not be the map. But I agree it is a bit redundant, especially if you could get into a submenu of a couple different outfits to swap to, or favorite elixirs, or something.
  15. Yeah this is the game's only real issue. Allowing you to select whole recipes to cook in one shot does help, but they added so many more materials that the UI could really use a couple more categories or to be able to tag favorites or something.
  16. I think the best thing you can say about this game is the stuff that you try almost always works or at the very least it CAN work. Ran into one of the Koroks putting up a smoke signal and saw his buddy down below and out of curiosity I stuck a big piece of meat onto an arrow and shot it at the stranded Korok. Jumped down, stuck the Korok to the meat, used recall, did the thing in like 5 seconds. So good.
  17. Imagine calling yourself a libertarian, regardless of whether or not the L is capitalized.
  18. If it makes you feel any better, Lucas initially wanted Indy to be into Marion when she was 11!
  19. I stand firm in my belief that guns are not secure in the overwhelming majority of homes in which they’re present. This clip has layers.
