  1. 10GB of RAM? What is this peasant shit. @Mr.Vic20
  2. There's only one way to find out! Kidding aside, here's a video where other people try it and fail. You can see her take her ring off before she does the squeeze for the reason I mentioned.
  3. The reason that *most* people can squeeze an egg very hard and not break it is because you're applying a relatively equal amount of pressure in all directions simultaneously, combined with the shape of the egg which provides the greatest amount of strength at the the "ends." If you're wearing a ring while you attempt this (the guy who couldn't break the egg was not, the guy who shattered the egg was), much more force is being applied to the very small area where the ring is making contact with the egg. If you squeeze an egg while wearing a ring, you're basically replicating how we deliberately crack an egg for cooking; taking a very small area of the egg and applying pressure to it with something else "small." I said *most* because it's possible someone could grip the egg in such a way that you're not applying relatively evenly distributed pressure, or maybe have really large or really small hands that would basically accomplish the same thing; lots of pressure in a small area as opposed to equal pressure across most of the egg.
  4. He shouldn’t have been wearing a ring, lol
  5. I’m pushing 42, still have a full head of almost all brown hair, though I have some greys everywhere on my body, and I don’t need glasses yet. The hearing in my right ear is absolutely trash though, which is generally annoying except when I want to fall asleep and I can just lay on my left ear. The brain is really wild at compensating for this; if I’m wearing headphones, I do not notice that my right side is bad unless I lift up the headphones off one ear at the time and do 1 to 1 comparisons. It’s super obvious when I do that, but as soon as I go back to having both sides on normally, the compensation kicks in and it feels like I’m hearing things from both sides equally. The craziest part is that if it’s a song I know well and there’s part of the mix that’s on the right speaker only, I’ll still hear it clearly if I’m wearing headphones normally, even though if I take the left headphone off and listen with the right side only, I cannot hear that vocal / instrument / whatever at all. My brain just plays it for me even though my right ear cannot actually hear it.
  6. Ooooooh right, I forgot that Phoenix retcon. Hal Jordan reading those issues like:
  7. If your cause is for the unborn or white, you’ll be alright.
  8. I wish Rahul Kohli was Mr. Fantastic, as I think he could do Reed’s pathos better than Krasinski. But I cannot rule out the possibility of that being my anti-Jim bias. I like your Dark Phoenix parallel! The more I think about Wanda, the more I think she’s been treated kinda badly. Nothing she’s done likely caused as much harm as Tony’s arms dealing, or Thor’s kicking dirt at Thanos instead of killing him. They fuck around but never really find out; Tony’s death has nothing to do with his sins, it sure looks like Thor is going to get to hook up with a buff Natalie Portman, etc. Wanda watches her family die, then her brother gets killed because she was manipulated by Ultron, then she accidentally blows up some Wakandans while trying to help, then she has to kill her boyfriend, watch him get resurrected then get murdered, loses control of her emotions and enslaves a whole town, then has to essentially watch her children die after being manipulated again, then reads too much of an evil book and accidentally gets turned evil and almost destroys the multiverse? There’s a lot of real estate between “she should probably have been held accountable for Westview,” and, “she’s the MCU’s punching bag, a lady being unable to control her emotions means that people turn into extras on a sitcom / reality is almost destroyed, and once she realizes she’s a bad mommy she kills herself, which is a good thing, ultimately.” To carry your Phoenix analogy further since I like it so much, if I’m remembering the comics right, it’s an independent force which dominates people. Assuming that’s right, there’s a difference between that and what seems to have happened to Wanda, where she was just corrupted but ultimately not being controlled by the Darkhold. In every appearance Strange has had, he basically makes a conscious decision to fuck with shit he shouldn’t (Dark Dimension, Time Stone, giving an entire planet Spider-roofies, reading the Darkhold, dream-walking, necromancy) and he’s fine.
  9. He’s bragging about having done it, it’s a positive ad and completely deranged.
  10. Yeah these are all great points. And for as much as I liked this, warts and all, there's really no comparison at all between it and Everything Everywhere All At Once. I feel the same way about the multiverse "stakes" stuff as I do about something like the setup in Days of Future Past. I agree with your take on Wanda. Also not for nothing but the whole Steven and the scalpel thing kind of makes... no sense to me? My guy was dead for 5 years letting other people hold the scalpel, he gives Wong shit about not bowing to him but very obviously respects him as the Sorcerer Supreme, etc. What are we even talking about?
  11. Oh yeah, I'd agree with that for sure. Feels like a super hard pivot in that regard so far in season 3.
  12. Perhaps Kavanaugh could simply go to another state if he finds his current situation untenable.
