  1. Maybe his plan is to put polonium in every teacup in Ukraine, or convince every Ukrainian soldier to stand on a balcony and have someone push them off?
  2. This is more or less where I'm at. If Oscar Isaac wasn't killing it I suspect the show would be getting torched. It's not weird enough to be really out there and weird, it's not actiony enough to be carried by that, and even the first Thor was smarter about lampshading the existence of the Norse pantheon. What If started showing its ass a bit at this point, too. Not that Moon Knight needs to follow the same schedule or even do that at all per se, but it's in a weird spot in that it's not "non-MCU" enough to live on its own, but it's also not MCU enough at the moment for it to really fit in anywhere.
  3. Seems pretty unlikely that they're going to "resolve" stuff this season and that they'll pull a Loki.
  4. Elon confirming my theory that anyone who complains about "woke progressivism" is wrong about absolutely everything 100% of the time. If he told me the human body depended on oxygen to survive I'd start holding my breath.
  5. I feel absolutely comfortable saying “no” if someone asks “should I play Sonic games?”
  6. Sonic 1 is fine. Sonic 2 is very good. Sonic 3 is great. The rest are all over the map and rarely good. The music occasionally slaps though, that counts for something.
  7. It’s obviously terminal poster’s disease. The guy’s big brain idea is that Twitter will comply with local free speech laws. Imaging getting out there and saying this like it’s meaningful or revelatory? I’M MISTER BIG IDEA PAYPAL SPACE CAR MAN, TIS NOT ILLEGAL TO SAY THE N-WORD, MODERATE ACCORDINGLY UPON THIS SACRED FREE MARKET OF IDEAS! NOW FELLATE ME WHILE I EAT THIS EXPENSIVE HAM
  8. Batman doing a Batman voice is the stupidest thing in the world. Half his face is exposed and Bruce is the DC Universe equivalent of Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos when it comes to fame and wealth, SOMEONE would figure it out. This is the same universe where a set of glasses and an occasionally hunched back makes everyone ignore the fact that Clark Kent is built like a brick shithouse. Who cares. Soooooo true.
  9. Bruh. Also: (Mid-level, Sr & Staff) Software Engineer - Home Timeline CAREERS.TWITTER.COM The Home team is committed to building geographically distributed teams and we welcome applicants across the US/Canada to apply.
  10. One of the few "both sides" things that's true is that everyone thinks the algorithm is out to get them. But fucking toplel at Shapiro thinking "woke progressives" control implementation. Tell me you don't hang out with engineers without telling me you don't hang out with engineers. Smooth brains always think the solutions are fewer people, more transparency, and some kind of gestapo. EDIT - LOL
  11. This whole topic at large is the blood sacrifice made on the altar of tech companies "needing" to grow as large as possible as quickly as possible. Regulators attempt to catch up but that process is slower than the technological advancement and it's done while opposing the pressure from capitalists to "not interfere with the market," and here we stand. It's not impossible to have avoided this but shareholders want the line to go up and the bros that lead these companies almost universally feel like they know best.
  12. Oh I’m not saying it’ll be GOOD, but the notion that 10’s of people will care just seems wrong.
  13. I don't go looking through the replies, I know better than that. It's creators posting receipts of people targeting them / creating fake accounts impersonating them and doing stupid shit with them, etc. I don't blame them. The space is weirdly gatekept by a particularly vocal kind of chode, which in of itself isn't especially unique. But it's also not super big; purging the bad actors is frequently possible. So it's often worth the time and energy for the creators to call out the behavior. It's not like I'm following the members of BTS or something.
  14. I find it difficult to believe that people are able to compartmentalize to the point that this NEVER comes up for them and this is coming from a world class compartmentalizer. I said Woody Allen before, but I'm not a big fan so it's not like it comes up often for me. But I genuinely don't see how someone could watch Manhattan and NOT have IRL Woody Allen affect the experience unless they had no idea what he was about. Same with something like Louie. I get someone being able to make it through The Pianist without Polanski's shit coming to mind. With someone like Chappelle, if a Chapelle's Show skit comes up or someone references it, the first thing that comes to my mind isn't that he's on Team TERF. Or as someone else mentioned... not that anyone should watch American Beauty but I don't know how anyone could fail to think of Spacey's real life when his character almost fucks a child.
