I like this season more than 2 so far. It feels less meandering and bleak. And I dunno what will end up happening with the single dose compound V or whatever but it’s interesting that they’re moving to a place where the gang can kind of hope to have a shot at actually fighting back That said I think the show still has doesn’t know what to do with some of the characters. There’s nothing this show can do that’s going to make A Train or Deep even remotely sympathetic. I don’t care about their struggles, they deserve every bad thing that happens to them.

Oh you know better than this! How many Christians do we all know who have never read the bible? I know many people who think that the bible is literally the word of god but couldn't be fussed to read the thing, I approach Spider-Man comics drawn by Mark Bagley with more enthusiasm than they do for what they say are the actual words their god said. Not with that attitude.

DA 2 is so weird. So many caves in the game are the same map, just with different parts inaccessible. Like a palette swapped enemy except it’s the environment. You’ll also collect quest items in the clone caves for NPCs you haven’t met, then when you walk near them, they thank you for completing the quest you didn’t know about and slurp the item away from you. Oh and the combat is bad. Some parts of the story are pretty good though. And it tried to fellate lord of the rings a bit less then origins so that’s something.

FWIW the recent comics have been, in general, pretty good. But they’re in no way required reading.

It drives me insane to think about hardening schools and hospitals as if that’s going to stop mass shootings. Let’s forget the fact that we’ve seen time and time again that multiple “good guys with guns” who are paid to protect schools flee when they’re fired upon. Let’s forget that in situations like Uvalde and Pulse, cops will wait outside while shooters execute hostages and civilians, and in both cases some amount of lives were saved by non-police taking action. The Las Vegas shooting was less than 5 years ago. One fucking dude shot almost 500 people. Almost. Five. Hundred. People. You cannot secure every area. You cannot harden every target. You cannot prevent guns from getting into every building. Guns must be confiscated and bought back, the right to own and purchase them must be abolished. Everything else is fucking bullshit.
