There is not one Muslim majority country that has banned abortion if it will save the life of the mother, so, you know… we’re the real shithole country.

Also I'm compelled to note that there have been more school shootings so far in 2022 than there have been weeks, this one is noteworthy because the asshole ran up the bodycount. 27 school shootings have taken place so far this year WWW.NPR.ORG A shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, marks the 27th such school shooting in the U.S. this year.

These motherfuckers thump bibles that say the meek will inherit the earth while they've got a Barrett .50 cal slung on their backs without a shred of irony.

The same chuckefucks who don’t trust teachers to say, “one time America did a racism,” or to acknowledge the mere existence of gay people also expect them to be a paramilitary force? The world does not produce nearly enough shit for these people to eat.

I’m rock hard right now. -
For as much as I like the Mission Impossible movies, I think they'd be better if they were a bit less serious and a bit more "fun." I feel like there's some fertile ground somewhere between the really goofy Roger Moore style Bond and the "serious" Craig Bond, and in my head Mission Impossible would thrive in that gap. As an excuse to see a sexagenarian risk his life by yeeting himself off increasingly improbable surfaces or vehicles, the movies absolutely deliver. I just wish that there was a single, memorable story beat in literally any of them.

I've paid an Ameriprise financial advisor for close to 20 years now, and it's worked out very well for me. I acknowledge that I could do a lot of my own research and come to similar conclusions but it's been worth outsourcing for me. I find that working with someone else makes me feel accountable in a way that I know I would not if left to my own devices. -

“But he called himself Jackie Robinson” is a take, almost as if there are things black people call themselves that other people should not. -

The continuity stuff is just... fine. It doesn't matter. Abomination has been chilling for 20 years since Hulk. None of the stuff that happened to Tony, Pepper, or Rhodey in Iron Man 3 was ever referenced again other than the kid showing up at Tony's funeral, which everyone had to google. The Celestials in Eternals and Ego from GotG2 don'r seem to really gel all that cohesively; the Celestials seem to have pretty clear purpose that Ego just didn't for some reason? All this stuff is fine. New Daredevil, continued Daredevil... it'll be fine. -

I live in the burbs now, I was tired of living with a lovable lunatic leading our condo association who would let Click or Clack park in my parking spot or prank call me when they were drunk, and who took almost an entire year to have a contractor come and fix our front porch after someone drove their BMW into it. The porch was built in 1880something and since we were on a corner, it wasn't uncommon for people to pick our porch to sit on and smoke. I lived in constant fear or someone sitting on an exposed nail and getting 19th century tetanus and suing me into an early grave. Also we bought our condo at $275 and sold it for $510 so I couldn't resist those sick gains. Our beagle is much happier as well. I do miss Somerville though. The mileage thing is related to walking to work from 2016 until we moved, then the pandemic hitting so I rarely drive. I bought the RS with the notion of driving it until the wheels fall off, but that might take longer than I'll be alive at this point. My next car will likely be an electric something, but we'll see. Rivians are specific kind of ugly that I like. I still desperately want a convertible Mini Cooper S but that makes no sense in Mass, especially as someone who doesn't currently have a garage, but I'm not always sensible so who the fuck knows. In the meantime the RS is basically like Mario Karting everywhere IRL, it's great. -
