I thought that was a fantastic episode. Every actor in the show brining their A-game. I mean god damn that was such a cool sequence watching the Invictus make planetfall and making Terminus crack like an egg. Day soaking it all in and loving every second of it. Lee Pace is amazing. Glaywin's farewell was heartbreaking because of Bel's reaction. Apparently those two actors are in a long running stage play together where they play lovers and that's why their chemistry has worked so well this season. But I think my Tellum being a bastardized spelling of The Mule theory isn't going to pan out.

It fails at literally everything... and that's coming from a guy who loves the cheesiest invincible one-man-army action movies.

That’s the most Jets thing to happen so it tracks. They were so unbelievably dumb to overpay for a guy Rodgers’ age instead of trying to get a younger guy they could build around like Carr or Jimmy G. Now they’re stuck with that dork from my Alma Mater.

This is what I was alluding to earlier. Tons of outrage over abortion but not a single tear shed or law written to address all the fetuses and fertilized eggs that die on their own. Almost as if it’s not about death but controlling women’s choices.

I wish any of the big rock bands today had half the energy and snarl that these guys do. Their leaning to the more rock end of their sound really works on this album.

I've poked my head in there but I'm afraid of spoilers . I'm terribly "ADHD" when it comes to books in that I read about a thousand things at once and take forever to finish any single one.

Depends who you're talking to. I'm willing to meet people where they stand and argue from their worldview. When people did that to me it helped shake off a lot of the indoctrination of my youth.

I'm only halfway through book three but haven't found him to be a terrible character yet. By what book did he become such for you?

Since the vast majority of "pro-life" people use God as their justification, then God is the greatest abortionist of all. And if abortion is murder, then we shouldn't have any moral qualms about following God's example.

Yeah. I can understand wondering why something shares a name when it deviates so far from the source material that it’s unrecognizable (i.e. that Halo show) but that’s certainly not the case here.

One thing that is so glaring in every episode is how much better of an actor Rosamund Pike is than literally everybody else in this show. Especially in contrast to some of the other the leads. Namely Perrin and Rand. Especially Rand. But especially Perrin. God he is just terrible. And no it’s not because he’s dour and gruff all the time. Good actors can pull that off and become fan favorites (i.e. Rory McCann). The new Mat, on the other hand, I find much more charming and rogue-ish than the guy he replaced. So that’s a win. It’s also clear where they don’t direct their budget. The most obvious example being the music composition and direction. It’s all forgetful and plain at best and fucking god-awful at worst. Like a fucking A.I. model trained to write the most boring generic fantasy soundtrack of all time. But where they do put their money absolutely shines. The visuals and cinematography in this show are really good. Not the best I’ve ever seen but still awesome. Despite my complaints I still very much enjoy the show on the whole! I’ll probably buy the blu rays.

Letterboxd is all I need.

I’ve never cared for Fallon. Never actively disliked him either. But I have always respected that his show brings in legit musicians as musical guests and band fill-ins much more so than any of its competition. So in that sense it’s disappointing to hear that some are reporting a very toxic work environment. But also this. Very very much this.

This. And the logical conclusion of the term pro-“life” is that any abortion is murder. Which is obviously wrong but that’s the only rational conclusion you can have if you’re pro life.

Oh I don’t believe it will happen either. I just enjoy fantasizing all the ways they’d make it a terrible experience like most of their hardware and format decisions.
