  1. ‘Sound of Freedom’ Producer Felt the Naked Breasts of Apparently Underage Trafficking Victim WWW.VICE.COM Files from a joint local and federal criminal investigation released to VICE News describe video evidence of the incident, which took place in Mexico on an Operation Underground Railroad mission.
  2. Same in Utah. Less intense heat for a shorter duration too. It was nice to have a break.
  3. There's more! Tim Ballard’s Departure From Operation Underground Railroad Followed Sexual Misconduct Investigation WWW.VICE.COM “O.U.R. is dedicated to combatting sexual abuse, and does not tolerate sexual harassment or discrimination by anyone in its organization,” the organization tells VICE News. Projection is going undefeated
  4. Also the fact that he's single again kind of lowers the impact of the original series finale IMO. Though a lot of the fun of the original was seeing him struggle with his perpetual loneliness and isolation in that regard.
  5. I'm actually curious to see why his genius son who had every opportunity and advantage turned out to be a well adjusted lower middle class everyman.
  6. Yeah for sure. I didn't have much of a choice in my situation unfortunately.
  7. Actually tbh I can’t remember the last time I went inside a McDonald’s so this probably wouldn’t affect me no matter what.
  8. It’s still $1 here. I go probably a few times per week to the drive thru just for that. Ha
  9. They sell any size drink for $1 so of course they want to do away with that. but will they still be $1 in 10 years?
  10. Three alternators? Dang. There had to be something in your charging system overworking it. For this one I just replaced I think the culprit was my battery being some old cheap thing causing it to constantly be working.
  11. It wasn’t the thing though! My alternator had just gone bad.
  12. Or almost got in a really bad car wreck at any rate. The other day I got in my pickup to go to work and my low charge light was on. I had left a new dongle plugged in over the weekend that connects to my phone so it charges and plays audio at the same time. I figured it must be faulty and drawing too much charge since my battery was drained. But figured I'd get charged back up just driving to work. So I'm driving in the south end of Salt Lake and there's this mountain you have to go over to get to my work. About a mile before that my radio starts flickering and dies. Then I noticed my HVAC also wasn't running. Then right as I looked down at my gauges they all dropped to zero. The ABS light turned on meaning I didn't have electronic braking assistance anymore. All of that was quite an unsettling feeling. So I cautiously but urgently move over a few lanes to get to the last exit before climbing up and over the mountain. I barely get there in time and proceed down the exit ramp pumping my brakes on and off since I didn't have ABS anymore. I come to a stop behind the car in front of me. I look in my rearview mirror and see this typical big Utah truck coming at me. He's not slowing down. Right as I had that thought the truck slams on its brakes and there's a loud SCREEEEEECH. Somehow, luckily, there is still electricity going to my spark plugs and I gun it and move over to the side and next to the car in front of me. The truck comes to a stop inches from the bumper of the car that was in front of me but is now next to me, completely occupying the space I was in a split second prior.* The offramp's stoplight turned green right at that moment so I kept moving forward while my pickup was still alive. I pulled into the gas station by the offramp and put it in park. Right as I did so I lost all power and my truck just died. Anyways, I lived to replace the alternator in my truck. * Thinking about it later, I realized there was probably no electricity going to my brake lights so, while the dude should have been paying attention no matter what, my probable lack of brake lights didn't help the situation.
  13. Mormon Church Denounces Tim Ballard’s “Morally Unacceptable” Activities WWW.VICE.COM A church spokesperson tells VICE News that Ballard “betrayed his friendship” with a powerful leader, who “never authorized his name, or the name of the Church, to be used for Tim’s personal or financial interests.” Necrobumping this old post. lol lmao Long story short: Tim Ballard happens to share a last name but no familial relation with the like 4th or 5th highest guy in the Mormon church. They were in contact for a while. Then Ballard went and did that thing that he always does where he lies about literally everything and grifts people to death.
  14. It’s the equivalent of an ACL tear in humans. He’s a tough dog but as a German Shepherd he’s also very whiny and it’s breaking my heart. His name is Vader send good vibes his way.
  15. I’d take this game over a lot of the prime time and MNF games this year.
  16. Asimov himself said that what’s on the pages couldn’t be adapted 1:1. And he was fine with that. Even encouraged it. Broad strokes and themes are there. I agree that it might not be a definitive work. But the fact we have to point to a 20 year old franchise as an example of such? Nobody is making definitive things anymore. Not that don’t shit the bed and ruin their goodwill at any rate. But I do think it’s some of the best sci-fi I’ve seen on the screen big or small in I don’t know how long. Visually stunning. Fantastically acted. Generates a sense of wonder and awe. Makes you wonder about the ethical application of advanced technologies and contact with other intelligent life. That’s everything I want in sci-fi that so many movies and shows can’t seem to get right.
  17. This is a prime example of an old person being better than the absolute chudfuck that’s going to replace him. Sigh.
  18. I think he would have been okay despite losing some of the extremist support here. A Romney is like a Kennedy in Utah.
