  1. Yeah I didn't think of that either. Won't be a problem for me. Haven't seen an N95 mask since this started.
  2. Yeah I can't believe it took this long to confirm no back buttons. I haven't kept up with every piece of PS5 media, but it always seemed like that rear side of the controller was out of view just enough that you couldn't tell. I thought they were going to have an announcement where they turn the controller around completely and be like "annnnnnd look at these buttons!".
  3. Another school district in my area is proposing something similar. The kids get sorted into 2 groups, 1 group goes Monday/Tuesday, the 2nd group goes Wed/Thurs, and Friday everyone learns from home. It all sounds messy no matter what.
  4. This is the email I got this morning from our school district: 2020-2021 School Year - Phased Reopening Plan -Phase 1: From August 25 to September 18, all students will engage in Distance Learning 2.0. On September 10, a recommendation will be made to either remain in phase 1 or transition to phase 2 on September 21, 2020. -Phase 2: A segment of the student population will return to the building for in person instruction with priority given to elementary and high needs special education students. Throughout Phase 2, additional students and staff will return to school for in person instruction. -Phase 3: Total reopening as outlined in accordance with state, federal, and health agencies. Specific details will be shared in a revised District Health and Safety Plan prior to the start of Phase 3. Phase 1 – Distance Learning 2.0 Based on feedback received from students, parents, and staff, Distance Learning in the fall will look very different from what was utilized in the spring. Distance Learning Changes Streamlined Platforms (SeeSaw for elementary & Schoology for secondary) Devices for All Students (K-12) with internet and technology support (hot spots, etc.) Direct instruction and video lessons provided by West Shore teachers Online Small Group and Collaborative Opportunities Student support and services for students with Special Needs Accountability (Graded Assignments, Assessments, Attendance Checks) Counseling and Mental Health Support Services Continuation of Free Grab-and-Go Bagged Meals Program Next Steps Collect additional feedback from families, teachers, and support staff to assist the District with our Phased Reopening Plans. Communicate information with families regarding Distance Learning 2.0 (how it will impact CPAVTS, IEPs, etc.) and device/resource distribution. Finalize the District’s Health and Safety Plan for approval by the Board and Pennsylvania Department of Education So in other words, they will start Phase 1, see things are only getting worse around the country and then just continue online learning the rest of the year.
  5. If it's the cheap stuff then I could see people leaving it out. When the first couple ingredients listed are things like distilled vinegar, water, peppers, or salt, you have a little freedom. I never refrigerate my bottle of Sriracha. I probably use a bottle every 1-2 months and I just keep it in the cupboard.
  6. I built 2 4ftx8ft raised garden beds during the shutdown and they took off like crazy. 3 different tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini, cucumber. Then we have some random plants in big pots like green peppers and herbs. I got a carolina reaper plant but it's not doing much yet. We had some romaine lettuce plants that produced a ton then they hit the end of their life cycle so we pulled them out. We also have a giant row of pumpkin plants that already have some growing a few inches in diameter. Our only problem is we have squash bugs attacking our yellow squash and zucchini plants. I have to go out daily to remove the bugs and also use pieces of tape to remove their eggs that they lay on the leaves. They end up trying to burrow inside the plant down near the roots. Plant will start wilting and die pretty shortly. Very annoying.
  7. I tried the beta with Assassins Creed and it ran flawless for me. Aside from me already having a ton of games the graphics/fidelity is the biggest reason I wouldn't sign up for Stadia. I think a lot of us expected if we are paying to stream we should be getting maxed 4k high end stuff. Doesn't seem to be the case.
  8. Ground beef prices went up and then down in my area. I use 80/20 ground beef for grilling burgers and it went from $4.49 a pound up to $6.99 at my grocery store. Then like 2 weeks later it's back to normal. I don't buy steak often enough to know the prices.
  9. @Bacon Yeah the brisket at Dickies is definitely average to bad. I've ordered it 3 times in my area and I swear half the container they give me is just big gobs of fat.
  10. I always forget that Playstation Now is a thing. It seems like a nice service for a totally new customer just starting out with a PS4. There would be a ton of stuff to keep you busy for only $60 a year. Most of it looks like stuff I played long ago though.
  11. These are my thoughts as well. A yearly sports game that has a virtual casino in game is the last game series I'd be willing to pay more money for.
  12. Thanks for posting that link. If anyone else hasn't read it yet I definitely suggest checking it out. That equipment and process is both amazing and extremely terrifying to me! It makes me feel good machines like that exist. But between damage done to the body from the virus, and damage from the equipment saving your life, recovery sounds like it could be months, years, or you're just never the same again. Scary stuff.
  13. The Walmart by my house literally needs their own police force. The police are there all the time. We live right by the police station and just had an officer come to our house for my son's birthday party. I asked how often do you get called to Walmart because I see a cop car there almost everytime I pass by. She said on a good week it's once per day, but it's almost always multiple calls per day.
  14. I went to a diner to pick up take out last week and none of the waitresses had masks on. Yesterday I went to Maple Donuts and the lady wasn't wearing a mask. I haven't kept up with guidelines but I feel like anyone in the food service business should be wearing masks.
  15. A restaurant right around the corner from my house just closed because an employee tested positive. Fortunately I haven't gotten food from there lately.
  16. Still no word on what happened but I liked the opening paragraph to this article. "A statement that could be made only in 2020, but right now we have a much clearer idea of why the President was banned from a video game streaming service than why Dr. Disrespect was. But that’s the situation: when Twitch banned Donald Trump, it immediately gave a detailed explanation of which policies his campaign violated and gave examples. When it came to banning Dr. Disrespect, however, we got no such clarity, only a brief statement about guidelines." "We Might Never Find Out Why Twitch Banned Dr. Disrespect" https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidthier/2020/06/30/we-might-never-find-out-why-twitch-banned-dr-disrespect/#2247d07053a5
  17. That's definitely a weird situation. I don't have much else to add. I've been burned enough times by my PS4 not starting up correctly when using sleep mode. My power is almost always 100% stable where I live, unless there is a huge thunderstorm. Yet it occasionally gives me a message saying it wasn't shut down correctly and has to rebuild the database. I try to avoid sleep mode now.
  18. Hey guys remember to SMASH that like button! Buy some MERCH! And pick up my new Lamo figure!
  19. I watched the video you linked to. He's an odd person to watch. Can't tell if he's on medication/drugs/or just acts that way on purpose.
  20. I think i read that somewhere. Also when he live streamed from a public bathroom and only got a 2 week ban.
