Any word from the devs about improving the load times in multiplayer? Some games seem to load alright, others feel really slow.

I've also wondered why people run in the road. Google definitely backs up your claim: "Concrete is a much harder surface than asphalt or macadam. It's the worst commonly encountered surface that you can run on and should be avoided like the plague. To compare the "hardness" of concrete and asphalt, hit each surface with a hammer and see how it feels to your hand and arm." Now I kind of want to run in the road.....

A few posts back I mentioned my wife's aunt got diagnosed with Covid and her husband ran out to get the shot right away, and that night he got a bad headache. Well now she just told my wife that she had to call an ambulance for her husband. Not sure of the specifics but he tested positive yesterday and now he's requesting an ambulance. Ambulance came and they said the hospital said there is an 8-10 hour wait and if you can stay home, just try to stay home. They took his vitals and deemed them acceptable so for now he's just sitting tight. He is early 60's and a smoker for all his life. He has had mild COPD for a few years now too.

I only played about 30 min so far. Game looks so good. I let my son play a little bit. He looked at the map and saw a red danger icon and drove there. It was an abandoned looking airport with a massive ramp at the end. Let's just say he spent the next 30min driving off that ramp haha.

Everything around me is open, it's just the service is slow as fuck. Went to the shoe store at the mall a few weeks ago for my son and we stood in a line of over 20 people. Fast food drive thrus are busy no matter what time of day now. I shouldn't have to wait in a Taco Bell drive thru 10 cars deep at 3pm during the week. I usually pull in, see a ridiculous line and just go home.

Removing the dislike button is a huge win for YouTube. Their goal is to keep you engaged as long as possible and deliver as many ads to you as possible. Example: Click on this how to video, sit through two 15 second ads, oh this video blatantly lied in the title and has no answers for you. You spent 3 or 4 minutes watching it so now the next video you click on is sure to play more ads. Slime ball move by YouTube.

What a mess. About all I can say.

I don't know how common it is, maybe it's because I'm on a fairly new Sony TV, but I hooked up the Series X last night and I thought it looked pretty bad. Washed out colors and stuff. I went to the display settings and it's like "your TV doesn't support anything except 4k" . No hdr 10, no dolby vision. My TV has a quick option menu so I set it to Game mode. Still didn't work. Turned out I had to go deeper into the tv menus, find the hdmi input menu, change that specific input to Game Mode and then suddenly everything lit up. My TV supports everything now except VRR. Just makes me wonder how many people buy a console like this and might be getting screwed out of visual stuff having one little setting wrong.

Isn't it weird how easy it was haha. All these people are still fighting bots and shit. Even if I wasn't going to pay it off early, I'd still rather pay $37 a month to just not have to deal with the stress of searching for a console.

On the website it said the 24 Month Subscription would be pre installed on the console. Hard to believe but it was true. Loaded up the console, it seemed to want me to use the Xbox app on a phone to set everything up so I did. Signed in and during the set up process it just popped up on screen "click here to redeem your 24 month subscription". Super easy.

@best3444 Right now Best Buy says I could buy one now and pick it up Wed. Nov 24th in store.

When I did this Sunday night, on the Best Buy website it said buy now for pick up Thursday Nov 18th. So I did it, qualified, somewhere I hit the complete purchase button and done. Then under your orders on the Best Buy website it showed as preparing order for Nov 18th.

Yeah these names are confusing but we definitely need to clear it up. I definitely DID NOT need Best Buys weird $200 program to qualify. You just go to their Xbox All Access link, click purchase, it will do a credit check through Citizen bank and if your credit is good enough you are instantly accepted. And it will give you a time and day to pick up the console at the store. Then you get an email from Citizen to set up an online account to make payments there. Ill have to log in again to the Citizen website to see when the first payment is due. But I have the Series X in my possession without having put any money down which is pretty cool.

Went to Best Buy tonight and the console was sitting there all alone on the pick up shelf waiting for me. If any of you have a want for a Series X, that was the easiest experience I feel like I could ever have asked for. In a world of shortages and supply problems, I feel like I practically stole this thing.

@Zaku3I'll have to try out the smg's. Most of my engagements tend to take place at assault rifle range so I was floating between them, marksman, and sniper. I was really only feeling proficient with the sniper.

I spent the last 2 hours forcing myself to play conquest on the new maps. Just trying to make sure I'm not missing anything obvious or something that would let me have more fun. My head seriously feels so exhausted now. The game fucking sucks and I don't know what they could do to fix it. It's too many people and the levels are too big. Death after death after death...You can die so many different ways at any moment, you just have to make up your own fun as you go. The one level called Manifest is ridiculous with shipping containers everywhere. You never know what angle, side, or height an enemy is coming from. Everytime you don't have a sniper rifle, you need one. Everytime you have an assault rifle, you wish you had a sniper rifle. The rocket launcher reloads so god awfully slow. One game I played on Hourglass I believe, 2 players were either cheating or they were just God Tier in the jets. Tried flying 6 different times. Within literal seconds of spawning, it was instant lock on, missiles incoming. Immediately after flares I would get blown up. Played out that way everytime. If I could get a refund on PS5 I would take one in a heartbeat.

Even having a physical job and lifting every couple days, I can say I feel really good skipping breakfast. Sounds like I've been doing what you are with 16 hours off 8 hours on with eating. I love it.

A little unrelated, but have any of you noticed the trashy looking games that have invaded the Playstation Store lately? I saw Finger Fitness-a game to strengthen your fingers for like $0.99. Or how about "Lady in a Leotard With a Gun". Both of these I've seen featured on the PS5 store page. But the day that GTA Trilogy remake came out I didn't see it anywhere on the store without searching for it.

@Littleronin Hope you feel better soon. Sounds nasty even with the vaccine. More and more people in my circles have tested positive over the last month.

My wife's aunt started feeling sick Sunday and tested positive. She's about 3 days in, light fever, achey, tired, nothing serious yet. She's around 60 yrs old, heavy smoker, almost no fat on her(she's always been small/skin and bones most of her life). She was vaccinated. I only say all this because her husband did not want the vaccine..... until today when he decided to go get the shot because he got scared. And now he's got a bad headache...So maybe its side effects from the shot or maybe he's getting sick from her

In one game I was driving the hovercraft through buildings that it had absolutely no business fitting in. The people manning the guns were just laying waste to every enemy. Felt good... but broken.

@stepee It feels like a pretty good deal since your paying for the console and Game Pass. I won't even have to purchase any games haha.
