EU Moves to Prevent Cars From Speeding
Chris- replied to TwinIon's topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
I'm all for reducing speeding, but implementing a system which actively counters a driver's input seems obscenely dangerous (since, you know, they are controlling a two ton vehicle at high speeds with split second decisions). I'm not a car expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I would think mandating more severe governors (say, 80 mph) on cars would be the best way to do it. -
Music New Rammstein - "Deutschland"
Chris- replied to Commissar SFLUFAN's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
My friends, you may be asking yourself, 'Ist das Rammstein?' Ja, es ist sehr viel Rammstein. -
Just cut them into quarters then! As usual, Missouri proves how worthless it is to our union.

It's only out of character if you literally ignore everything that goes on in Episodes VII and VIII. The overall arc of the films - which is painfully and explicitly stated - is to move past failure and grandeur. Whether it's family loss (Han and Leia), the loss of your dream (Luke), the loss of your moral compass (Finn), or your family legacy (Rey and Kylo), don't let what has happened dictate what can or should happen: always move forward. It would be boring as fuck if the characters didn't have to learn that; otherwise just make the films 2 hours of space battles and lightsaber duels and be done with it, because you have literally no character plot.

Cardi B Says She Drugged, Robbed Men As A Stripper
Chris- replied to Jason's topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
Some of the anti-sex work rhetoric I've seen on this board lately is really weird. -
Beyond the absurdity that 'you should do jury duty' is somehow a topic of social justice (which it's not), you and I both know the term was being used in a loaded way (and not merely a statement). Don't play dumb.
-
That doesn't answer the question.
-
Person A makes a statement; Person B calls them a SJW for making that statement. What is Person B trying to say?
-
Right, because calling someone a SJW means otherwise. Keep splitting that hair.
-
Please, explain how 'you should do jury duty' and 'being in the ghetto for a day isn't the end of the world' are ill-advised positions. I mean that sincerely, I would absolutely love to read that explanation.

Because of this conversation, I am now thinking of tiramisu.
-
What type of cake?
-
Cool, glad we've reached the conclusion that avoiding jury duty is shitty.
-
I mean you can call me whatever you want, that doesn't change how shitty it is to intentionally avoid jury duty.
