I watched a clip from a few weeks ago where he was complaining about the Oscars, and how each of the BP nominees were depressing after such a shitty year of 2020, and then goes on to say how each one ends! Asshole. Fuck.

The biggest thing I can think of is when he used the n-word in a joke. He had some senator on, and the senator said they'd love to have him come out and work the fields with them. Maher replied, "worked the fields? Senator, I'm a house n***er." The next week Ice Cube was on trying to explain to him why it's not OK for him to be making those jokes, and why they need to get to the root of why he even thought it was OK, and Maher got all defensive basically going, "Oh for fuck's sake I already apologized; what more do you want from me? I'm not a racist." The man cannot take criticism, and he doesn't apologize fully and sincerely for anything. He even once did a bit about how celebrities need to stop apologizing. There have been more little instances over the years. It hasn't made huge, national news because he's really not that relevant, and the only people who seem to care what he has to say are people who are already his fans, or liberals who can't stand him and get upset at stupid things he says, and just want him to go away.

Well with no Internet I'd go with an RPG or open world game so that it lasts me a long time. Elder Scrolls, Breath of the Wild, The Witcher III, Xenoblade Chronicles, etc.

Actually I'd say what pisses him off is that people get pissed off and upset, and then he's all, "oh you people are such babies; everyone's so easily offended nowadays".

Switch successor sounds more like their next generation console rather than just a Switch Pro. I wouldn't be opposed to that if they make it compete with the SeX and PS5 (even if a bit weaker to account for portability if they continue that, which I'm sure they would).

Ontario is under lockdown, and the way things are going I doubt the restrictions will be lifted by the end of the month, and theatres reopen. Even if they do there's no guarantee I'll be able to get my shot, nor my second, and have someone to go see it with.

People seem to have a view that being racist means that you hate people of a different race, when really racism is a spectrum. Yes on the far end there is the white supremacists who think all other races should be exterminated, but then there is the more casual racism like thinking Asians are bad drivers, or thinking it's no big deal to drop the n-word even though "I have Black friends".

I'm not sure I'd call The Marvels a reboot of Captain Marvel though. Pre-production on it it was probably called Captain Marvel 2, then at some point since it will have all these characters someone probably suggested calling it The Marvels. I don't think they're trying to change, or distance the franchise away from Carol Danvers.

Well I'm not so interested in microscopic life which we know is on Mars. I want to see more complex like. Imagine an animal about the size of a wolf, or hell the size of an elephant, or even a giant like our dinosaurs, but it's on another planet. I think it was either Carl Sagan or Stephen Hawking who said that many scientists are too narrow in their search for planets that can sustain life because they're looking for planets that can sustain human life; life can evolve to adapt to many kinds of environments, so it's possible that a planet that has an environment that is inhospitable to humans because it's atmosphere is, I don't know, made up of nitrogen, helium, and krypton, but no oxygen is still home to life because the plants and animals there evolved and adapted to breathe those gases. Scientists also talk about how all life on Earth is carbon based, but there could exist silicon based life, so imagine what a silicon based lifeform would look like.

I have a friend who's a nurse in Alberta. Hope she's not having to deal with that shit.
