I’d tilt my wrist back to aim a gun up. So inverted. I get much more confused with horizontal inversion in 3rd person games. Every so often I second guess what I like. Probably because Mario 64 is no longer the standard anymore.

Next week on EGS will be Pillars of Eternity Definitive Edition and Tyranny Gold Edition. The original Yooka Laylee is also on Amazon Prime Games now. Not technically free since you need Prime, but it's worth adding to the library. I'm one of those who enjoyed it quite a bit.

The majority of the games they release are quality. They know how to teach their old dogs new tricks. Also, how to spread franchise releases apart to not instill fatigue. Their games also tend to focus on core play mechanics ahead of skill trees and the like. You get more instant joy in the moment to moment than a typical AAA release. There are some exceptions, and they aren't bad either.

It’s not an exclusive per say (it’s timed), but Kena Bridge of Spirits looks stellar and is slated for March. Little Devil Inside as well, though it’s a blanket 2021 date at this point.

Doesn’t sound too long for an open world game either. 30 hours, 60 for completionist.

Reviews seem to suggest it hasn't captured what made BoTW special. Mainly that the world is much more 'designed' feeling than organic. I'm not against if it's done well (ie: Link's Awakening, Skyward Sword). But in a modern open world context... I'm curious. Some reviewers also love the puzzles, others hate them. I'd like to pick it up still, but on sale. Hearing that it's somewhat demanding on PC and bad on Switch is also kind of a bummer.

I beat Pyre recently. Great game, though not everyone will love it. (I did) Slay the Spire is amazing. Super addictive.

More Switch indies should have demos, IMO. With those prices it’s still more of a barrier just to jump in. Then again, the giveaways and promotional libraries on other platforms kind of serve that function anyways.

Indies cost too much on Switch though. I mainly buy them on PC unless it’s an addictive run game that plays well on the analog stick (Slay the Spire, Hades).

You can find Mario & Rabbids super cheap these days, especially on Black Friday. Get that.
