  1. Yep, I tuned in for 15 minutes late in the day and she is one of those fake nice people. And every answer she gave could be summed up as "we'll see."
  2. @stepee The Thermaltake Toughpower is the best of the three and should be sufficient, but not top-tier. I wouldn't trust the Raidmax one; they are a case manufacturer. Seasonic is your best option like @thedarkstark is going for. Their power supplies perform the best under transient loads (when the system requires rapid changes in load the power supply is quick enough to supply that wattage without going out of voltage spec), and the turbo boosting features of new CPUs and GPUs put a lot of transient load on the power supply - especially the GPU since it uses 3-5 times the power a CPU will use.
  3. Aside from the ones already mentioned, for a quick laugh I thoroughly enjoy Honest Trailers (Screen Junkies) and How It Should Have Ended.
  4. The first half of season 4 is very strong, probably my favorite watch as it was (is) quite socially relevant. Outside of the really strong Lex-storyline, the back-half of season 4 was a mixed bag. So overall it was great.
  5. Yall should try taking out the HDMI plug and blowing on it. That used to solve NES flicker problems back in the day.
  6. I'll gladly dump the old PSVR ASAP because the Move controllers are hot garbage. It's borderline criminal they didn't update those things for the PS4 - at the very least offering better gyros and micro-USB instead of mini-USB ports.
  7. An acceptable response could have been, "The citizens of this country deserve to be represented fairly. With an ACB confirmation our supreme court would make up an overwhelming conservative majority, and that is not representative of our fine citizens. I would exercise my power to make sure the SC represents the values of our citizens.". And then throw in some shade about Republicans stonewalling Obama and packing the courts themselves.
  8. Yep, need to make sure there's not green tint issue like the BR has.
  9. You guys on PC having frame rate issues? I have to set my refresh rate to 60 and lock Vsync to eliminate stutter, even though uncapped shows 100 fps.
  10. I say we quickly send these guys into the Oval office where a sniffling, coughing Trump can pardon them.... from life.
  11. Zen 3 official, available November 5 if you're a robot! The price hike looks substantial, particularly for the 8-core part compared to what I can find the 3700x priced at. But if they can deliver the promised 20% IPC gain, with sustained higher boost clocks (my launch 3700x barely boosts to 4.3 GHz consistently), then they will certainly be matching Intel for gaming performance and blowing them out of the water for everything else (because they already beat them in everything else price-to-price). http://www.anandtech.com//content/images/podcast_a_huge.png AMD Ryzen 5000 and Zen 3 on Nov 5th: +19% IPC, Claims Best Gaming CPU WWW.ANANDTECH.COM AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Processors Zen 3 Microarchitecture AnandTech Cores Threads Base Freq Turbo Freq L3 Cache TDP MSRP Ryzen 9 5950X 16c/32t 3400 4900 64 MB 105 W $799 Ryzen 9 5900X 12c/24t 3700 4800 64 MB 105 W $549 Ryzen 7 5800X 8c/16t 3800 4700 32 MB 105 W $449 Ryzen 5 5600X 6c/12t 3700 4600 32 MB 65 W $299* *comes with bundled CPU cooler
  12. Yep, when the forum page says this thread was HOT I didn't think it meant it was literally as hot as fresh pizza out of a 500 degree oven.
  13. They are our opposition because they have purposefully made us their opposition, for the sole sake of being opposed to any proposition put forth without any legitimate reason other than to be oppugnant, because otherwise if they appeased our proposals they would all be but plainly admitting we are the proper ones and they would then be portrayed as the pointless, purposeless, impotent party capitulating to our power.
  14. I haven't seen any updated R-0 values lately using this 10% finding, but if we're assuming more people have had it than we realize that would mean it's more infectious than we have calculated with previous known values. Thus, even though it will be less fatal, it getting exposed to more people is one of the (major) factors there are so many deaths (particularly compared to the Flu). A US-focused study also found about 10% of the US adult population has had it. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)32009-2/fulltext
  15. He was totally saving the kid from a certain future kidnapping. Also the #saveourchildren shit, while at heart admirable, is out of control. There was a local story about some girl claiming she was trying to be abducted, but she claims to have opened the trunk of the car from the inside and, I shit you not, ran back home to her big sister after about a half mile in the car. And this supposedly happened on the outskirts of a middle-of-nowhere rural country town no more than 1000 people, like the kidnapper wouldn't have noticed an open trunk and wouldn't have gone back for her if he was able to snatch her up in the first place. Then a few weeks later the police update the report saying there was no evidence of it ever happening. #hastag should be more than a fucking empty words and fear mongering. How about teaching your kids some awareness and useful skill, and be responsible supervisory adults instead of telling stories of the boogeyman and QAnon's unsubstantiated pizzagate.
  16. If not overclocking, then a premium 650W is sufficient but I'd definitely consider it a minimum for either card. 3090 is certainly more power hungry than the 3080 so the 750W is probably warranted, especially for pre-overclocked cards, but may not be necessary. A good power supply should be able to handle those transient spikes, and the best ones should be able to deliver beyond their rated wattage. Bigger wouldn't hurt, but depending on what the rest of your system is like may not be necessary. Now If overclocking, at all, especially if you raise voltages on the CPU/GPU or power targets on the GPU, then definitely go bigger.
